About A-SAFE
What is A-SAFE?
A-SAFE makes industrial safety barriers, bollards and gates, and says its solutions protect "people, assets and operations". Its Our Story page says the story started in 1984, and its adverts describe a business that remains family-owned. The same page says A-SAFE has "local subsidiaries in 15 countries and trusted partners in over 30 countries". The registered address is Habergham Works, Ainleys Industrial Estate, Elland, West Yorkshire, which the adverts call the HQ, with "cutting-edge manufacturing technology and modern offices". On 6 November 2026 the careers board listed 33 open roles across Commercial, Services, Marketing, Operations, People, Research and Development and Digital.
Where will I work?
It depends on the office. Seven UK adverts for the Elland HQ state "Hours: 37.5 hours" and "Full-time, On-site 5 days per week". The Málaga team, A-SAFE Digital, works to "Hybrid model: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote work." The German internal sales advert offers "Remote, hybrid oder vor Ort (Mölln). Einarbeitung vor Ort" (English: remote, hybrid or on site (Mölln); onboarding on site), the Australian one "Fulltime Work from home", and the Polish internal sales advert "praca stacjonarna 3-4 dni w tygodniu" (English: on-site work 3-4 days a week, with 1-2 days remote). Area sales managers and installers work in the field, travelling to customer sites.
What is the A-SAFE team like?
The careers page names three principles, "Meaningful Impact", "Solve It, Then Raise the Bar" and "Hands-On Growth", and promises that "Real responsibility comes early." Seven UK adverts list the values "We Are Pioneers", "We Are in it Together" and "We Do the Right Thing". The Málaga Software Builder advert describes A-SAFE Digital as the "software development and digital technology division of the A-SAFE Group", an "in-house technology hub" whose developers, QA testers and digital marketing specialists work closely with "colleagues worldwide". The Málaga developer advert expects people to build with AI coding agents and to own features from specification to production.
Work-Life Balance
The hours wording sits in the benefits blocks of office adverts in four countries. Four UK adverts (two commercial, one marketing, one engineering) say: "Flexible start and finish times to fit around you and your lifestyle." The Málaga adverts for developer, QA, outreach and marketing automation roles say: "Flexible working hours with the option to finish early on Fridays." The Australian sales advert lists "Flexible start and finish times." and the German internal sales advert "Flexible Arbeitszeiten: Gestalte Deinen Tag mit Gleitzeit und genieße echte Work-Life-Balance." (English: flexible working hours, shape your day with flextime and enjoy a real work-life balance). No core hours are stated anywhere. The Spanish adverts add "Intensive working hours (Jornada intensiva) in August: during this month we work from 8:00 to 15:00". On 6 November 2026, 10 of the 33 open adverts, all office roles in the UK, Spain, Australia and Germany, carried this wording; the production, shift and installer roles do not. Four UK adverts give 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy more (the two UK shift adverts say 20 days), and the German advert 29 days plus up to 5 more to buy.
