What is Anthropic?
Anthropic, PBC is an AI safety and research company founded in 2021 by former OpenAI execs Dario Amodei (CEO) and Daniela Amodei (President), along with co-founders Tom Brown, Chris Olah, Sam McCandlish, Jack Clark and Jared Kaplan. The company builds Claude — a family of frontier AI assistants — and conducts safety research on large language models, mechanistic interpretability, RLHF + Constitutional AI, evals + red-teaming, and alignment.
Where will I work?
Anthropic is headquartered at 548 Market Street in San Francisco, with offices in NYC, London, Dublin (EMEA HQ), Zurich and Singapore. Most engineering, research and policy roles are SF-based; some research and policy roles are remote-eligible. Anthropic''s culture is in-person collaboration-heavy.
What is the team like?
Around 5,000 employees globally across alignment research, model fine-tuning, applied AI / product, security + policy, business operations, customer success, sales, recruiting and corporate functions. The team has expanded rapidly since 2022 as Claude has scaled commercially.
