About aflexio

What is aflexio?

aflexio is a consultancy for supply chain planning, registered as "aflexio – Gesellschaft für Management- und Prozessberatung mbH" and based in Karlsruhe, Germany. It helps its customers with demand planning, production planning, integrated planning, supply chain strategy and supply chain KPIs, in the postings' words "Produktions- und Bedarfsplanung" and the control of manufacturing and logistics processes, and its open roles are for SAP IBP and SAP PP/DS consultants. The customers named on its homepage include Zollner Elektronik, Kneipp, apetito, Paul Hartmann, edding and E.G.O. The postings describe a team of "rund 40 Mitarbeitenden" and a "modernes, persönliches Team mit kurzen Entscheidungswegen". Besides Karlsruhe, aflexio lists offices in Hamburg and Saarlouis and a Spanish subsidiary, aflexio Consulting S.L.

Where will I work?

All three postings on its HRlab board (read 2026-10-16) are Karlsruhe roles listed as remote and office, and two of them also show the workplace as hybrid. The careers page says the place is yours to choose: "Ob vom Strand, von der Couch oder im Office - Du bestimmst wo Du am produktivsten bist". Colleagues live "verstreut in ganz Deutschland", meet regularly for team events, and consultants go to customer sites when a topic needs it, such as a walk through a production plant. The German postings ask for a residence in Germany (the Join.com copy of one posting says Germany or Spain) and for German and English at C1 or better.

What is the aflexio team like?

Everyone is on first-name terms ("Wir duzen uns") and decisions are short. The "Erfolgreich anders" page names five guiding principles: finding the right balance, respect, transparency, room to grow and orientation with foresight, and notes that "einige unserer Kolleg*innen schon seit fast einem Jahrzehnt bei uns arbeiten". Once a year the team moves its shared workplace for a week to a place of its choice, a workation that is described as a counterweight to the sometimes lonely home-office days, and the company keeps its own beehive in Karlsruhe.

Work-Life Balance

aflexio moved to a four-day week on 1 January 2022: "So starten wir ab dem 01.01.2022 in die 4-Tage Woche - das heißt 3 Tage Wochenende FÜR JEDEN VON UNS", and "Bei uns ist der Freitag FREI". Its own blog post on the principle says the regular working time rises "täglich von 8 auf 9 Stunden", which makes four 9-hour days, 36 hours a week, and that the four missing hours are made up by more efficient work. On pay it asks "Bedeutet reduzierte Arbeitszeit auch reduziertes Gehalt?" and answers "Nein". Leave is "sechs Wochen Urlaub", which the postings spell out as 24 days because the team works four days a week. Hours are flexible within that ("Work anytime"). For customers, project dates are no longer planned on Fridays and mail is usually answered on Monday, while go-lives and release upgrades are still supported on a Friday by arrangement, without a surcharge.

Perks and Benefits

The postings list the four-day week, flexible hours, six weeks of leave, top equipment and a mobility budget (a company car, the JobRad bike lease or a rail ticket). A monthly 50 euro Edenred City Card or EGYM Wellpass comes on top, and the careers page adds a company pension, a sabbatical option, a time-value account for saving working time, a free choice of laptop, monitor and mouse, a workation, a stay at the Spanish subsidiary and a monthly City Card budget "für Deine Ausgaben am freien Freitag". Salary and the remaining benefits are discussed in person during the interview process; no pay range is published.
