Tutoring Coordinator (Tutoring for Success)

Are you passionate about supporting students to succeed and making a positive difference to their university experience?

The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Tutoring Coordinator to join our Education and Student Experience team.

As a first point of contact for students within the School, you will play a key role in delivering the School's Tutoring for Success scheme, providing advice, guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey. Working closely with academic colleagues and professional service teams across the University, you will help students access the support they need, enabling them to engage fully with their studies and wider university life. This role is responsible for coordinating important aspects of student support and engagement. You will also contribute to welcome and induction activities, wellbeing initiatives and projects designed to enhance the student experience.

You will need proven organisational and administrative experience, ideally gained within a busy customer-focused environment. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build effective relationships with students, academic colleagues and professional service teams. You will bring strong administrative and IT skills, including experience of working with data and maintaining accurate records. Taking a proactive and empathetic approach, you will be comfortable managing competing priorities, responding to sensitive issues appropriately and using your initiative to improve processes and services. Experience of supporting students, customers or service users in a guidance or advisory capacity would be advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to student success and wellbeing within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week).

The University of Nottingham supports hybrid working with arrangements agreed locally. In practice, this means the team balances the working week with some time spent on campus and some time spent working from home to support flexibility, recognising that individuals and teams can be effective given the choice of environment.
