We are looking for Team Leads for shift operations in our warehouse logistics, starting immediately.
As a Team Lead in warehouse logistics, you are responsible for the operational management of your team as well as the professional guidance of your employees. Together with the specialists in the department, you ensure smooth processes in your area.
Your work is characterized by a motivating team spirit based on appreciation, respect, and openness. Together with your team, you work on achieving daily operational goals as well as improving processes. In doing so, you identify with our leadership principles, live our values, and use both as a compass in your daily business.

Provide professional guidance to the employees and specialists in your department and support their development. Communicate daily operational goals to your team and escalate plan deviations immediately to your department head.

Work closely with the workflow management team and deploy personnel resources effectively. Plan staff deployment and create vacation schedules to ensure sufficient personnel for our customers' expected order volume at all times.

Be the primary point of contact for your team and approach your colleagues with empathy. You will succeed in balancing your role as an employer representative and a trusted contact person for your team.

Resolve conflicts routinely and bring about sustainable solutions. You motivate and create a positive working atmosphere in which your team enjoys working and mastering their tasks.

Monitor the implementation of health and safety standards and promote this culture on-site by leading by example.

You have good IT skills and implement set goals independently. A completed vocational training and initial professional leadership experience with smaller teams round off your profile.

In general, you know how to create a working atmosphere in which your team enjoys working and wants to share information, ideas, and appreciation.

You have good rhetorical skills as well as basic knowledge in dealing with conflicts. With your strong communication skills, you pass on your expertise in an understandable, sustainable, and tailored way to the knowledge level of your colleagues.

Your good German skills at C1 level simplify communication within the team. Ideally, you have basic knowledge of English and French.

LOCATION: Lahr
Our logistics employees ensure that more than 50 million customers in 25 European markets receive smooth and reliable service every day. Today, Zalando has a growing European logistics network with currently twelve locations in seven countries. In Germany alone, thousands of employees from over 100 nations work at several Zalando logistics locations.
The logistics center in Lahr in the Black Forest is the newest of our German locations. The 130,000-square-meter building sets new standards for the industry and combines state-of-the-art infrastructure with intelligent thinking and great team cohesion.
We shipped our first package from the Black Forest location in 2016 and offer jobs for around 2,500 colleagues. In addition to entry-level opportunities in warehouse logistics, we are also looking for interested candidates in administration and technical departments in Lahr.
