Job Description
The Back End Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting backend applications, ensuring their availability, scalability, and correct operation in production environments.
This role has a dual focus:
- Backend development of new features and solutions.
- Specialized support, focused on incident resolution, root cause analysis, and building automations that reduce failure recurrence.
The person should propose efficient technical solutions, optimize existing processes through automation, and ensure integration between systems, especially in distributed and cloud-based environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend components aligned with the defined architecture.
- Analyze requirements and propose efficient and scalable technical solutions.
- Address and manage production incidents, performing root cause analysis.
- Design and implement automations that reduce manual operations and mitigate recurring incidents.
- Build and maintain data integration and transformation processes (ETL).
- Develop and implement solutions on cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Manage and integrate data in different types of databases (relational and non-relational).
- Ensure stability, availability, and performance of production applications.
- Optimize batch processes and information flows, especially on platforms like Teradata.
- Develop microservices and APIs for integration between systems.
- Perform unit, functional, and integration testing.
- Generate technical documentation and solution diagrams.
- Participate in deployments through DevOps pipelines.
- Work under agile methodologies (Scrum).
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and applications.
- Provide technical support and advice to different business areas.
- Comply with security standards
Qualifications
Education: Systems engineer, electronics engineer, systems technician, systems technologist, web developer, web programmer, or related fields
Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in web development.
Required Technical Knowledge:
- Experience in backend development (Java or other languages).
- Knowledge of REST API design and microservices.
- Database management (relational and non-relational) and ETL processes.
- Experience with AWS (Lambda, Glue, SQS, or other services).
- Knowledge of software architecture and distributed systems.
- JSON and XML handling.
- Experience with Git and DevOps pipelines.
