Job Description
- Design, develop, evolve and sustain backend services in Python with a focus on scalability and high availability
- Define the architecture and technical standards for APIs, integrations and internal tools of the credit marketplace
- Technically lead critical flows of simulation, eligibility, offers, orders and integrations with partners
- Lead initiatives on performance, resilience, observability and application quality
- Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis of incidents and fixes in critical production environments
- Ensure automated test coverage and spread good engineering practices within the team
- Act as a technical reference for the Product, Data, Security, Operations and other technology teams
- Lead technical discussions, review code and propose scalable, secure and sustainable solutions
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to the technical growth of the team
Qualifications
- Solid experience as a backend developer in large-scale production environments
- Mastery of Python and its ecosystem (frameworks, tooling, dependency management, performance)
- Advanced experience in designing, developing and consuming REST APIs
- Deep knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including modeling and query optimization
- Mastery of Git, branching strategies and versioning best practices
- Established experience with automated testing (unit, integration and contract) and TDD
- Autonomy to lead high-complexity demands end to end
- Experience with distributed systems architecture and high-volume integrations
- Excellent communication, collaboration and ability to influence technical decisions
Differentials
- Solid experience with AWS (solution architecture, managed services)
- Mastery of Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD and pipeline automation
- In-depth experience with observability using Datadog: logs, metrics, tracing, dashboards and alerts
- Experience with critical integrations and high transaction volume in a financial environment
- Prior experience with credit products, banking, fintechs or marketplaces
- Knowledge of application security (OWASP, secure development, secrets management)
- Experience with high-scale, high-volume messaging platforms (queues, events, asynchronous processing)
- Knowledge of transactional and bulk communication channels: SMS, email and WhatsApp
- Experience with messaging and engagement vendors such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Zenvia and SendGrid
