Job Description
- Develop, evolve, and maintain backend services in Python and/or Golang
- Design technical solutions for APIs, integrations, and credit marketplace services
- Work on critical flows related to simulation, eligibility, offers, orders, contracting, and partners
- Contribute to decisions regarding architecture, modeling, resilience, scalability, and security
- Support technical investigations, incident analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous system improvement
- Define and evolve engineering best practices, automated testing, code review, and technical standards
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, logs, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerts
- Work in partnership with Product, Data, Security, Operations, and other technology teams
- Support developers on the team with technical discussions, guidance, and the evolution of solutions
- Identify technical debt, operational risks, and opportunities for system improvement
Qualifications
- Solid experience as a backend developer
- Experience with Python and/or Golang
- Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of REST APIs
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases
- Experience with distributed systems, system integrations, or critical applications
- Knowledge of automated testing, integration testing, and quality best practices
- Experience with Git and code review practices
- Ability to work autonomously on complex demands
- Good communication skills to discuss technical solutions with different areas
- Ability to provide technical support to other team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with observability using Datadog
- Knowledge of logs, metrics, tracing, dashboards, SLOs, and alerts
- Experience with high-volume, high-criticality, or high-transaction systems
- Previous experience with financial products, credit, banking, fintechs, or marketplaces
- Knowledge of application security and secure development
- Experience with event-driven architecture, queues, or messaging
- Experience with designing resilient and fault-tolerant solutions
