WHY THE ROLE IS EXCITING FOR YOU…

You are responsible for access and entry control, monitor our building via video systems, look after our alarm and emergency call systems and take over the locking service. You also manage access rights and oversee key management for guests and external partners.

Based on our operating regulations, you carry out numerous security checks. These include, among other things, personal checks of our employees when entering and leaving the operational area, as well as locker and vehicle checks.

In the event of alarms, you coordinate external rescue and security services and carry out protective measures. You are also responsible for measures to prevent theft. In case of rule violations, you secure evidence and prepare reports, observe suspicious persons and intervene in criminal acts. If necessary, you provide first aid and initiate fire protection measures.

You also secure critical conversations, carry out patrols including reporting, and support service tasks such as creating ID cards for employees or managing lost property.

You take full responsibility for your tasks and continuously develop your knowledge and skills so that, together with the team, you constantly improve our security processes.
WE WOULD LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU IF…

Ideally, you have successfully passed the expert knowledge examination according to §34a GewO and hold additional qualifications in first aid and/or fire protection. You also bring at least 2 years of work experience in dealing with people as well as in administrative tasks.

To fulfil the diverse tasks of a Security Guard, you stand out through teamwork, a high level of performance readiness, and physical and mental resilience. You are also willing to complete and successfully pass our internal Zalando training programme "Zalando Security". Learn the basics of communication, prevention techniques and operational tactics, as well as first aid, fire protection and how to use our security technology.

You find it easy to get into new software. You look forward to working with Google Workspace, various apps and web tools to keep track of all processes and document them correctly.

You are communicative and pass on your knowledge clearly, sustainably and tailored to the level of your colleagues. With your good German language skills, both spoken and written, you produce error-free reports. Basic English skills at A2 level simplify communication within the team and enable excellent security service in the shift system.

LOCATION: Lahr
Our employees in logistics ensure that more than 50 million customers in 25 European markets receive smooth and reliable service every day. Zalando now has a growing European logistics network with currently twelve sites in seven countries. In Germany alone, thousands of employees from over 100 nations work at several Zalando logistics sites.
The logistics centre in Lahr in the Black Forest is the newest of our German sites. The building, with 130,000 square metres of space, sets new standards for the industry and combines next-generation infrastructure with smart thinking and a great team spirit.
We shipped our first parcel from the Black Forest site in 2016 and offer jobs for around 2,500 colleagues. In addition to entry-level opportunities in warehouse logistics, in Lahr we are also looking for candidates in administration and technical departments.
