Welocalize is currently looking for Japanese speakers living in Japan to support our client's project as Web Search Quality Raters.

The main objective of this project is the development and expansion of AI data. Quality Raters are responsible for the subjective and objective evaluation of advertisements based on project rules and guidelines. Why not put yourself at the forefront of internet search and help lead the industry?
Project Details
Job Title: Web Search Quality Rater Job Description: Evaluate displayed search results and submit feedback to improve the quality of web search results (tasks are primarily in Japanese, but some evaluation content is in English). Tasks are not assigned; you will log in to the tool at your convenience or during your spare time to perform tasks yourself. You are responsible for managing your own weekly hours. Completed tasks are recorded in the evaluation tool, and payment is based on these records. Location: Remote (must reside in Japan) Working Hours: 5–20 hours per week, flexible schedule (subject to peak and off-peak periods) Start Date: Immediately after registration Employment Type: Freelance/Independent Contractor
This is a freelance position that arises based on project demand. Please be aware that working hours may fluctuate from week to week.
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese proficiency
- High level of English proficiency
- Deep understanding of Japanese pop culture
- Must not currently be working as, or have previous experience as, an "Ads Quality Rater"
- Individuals who have previously worked as a "Search Quality Rater" or have taken the trial before are eligible to apply.
- Advanced knowledge of the web and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent online research skills
- Reliable computer system and stable internet connection
- Robust antivirus software (as you will be conducting web searches as part of your work)
- Ability to follow English instructions and adhere to client-specified guidelines and rules
- Ability to sign a non-disclosure agreement to protect client confidentiality
- Ability to pass language tests, learning programs, and client-specified quality tests (conducted before starting work)
Recruitment Process

- Skill/Language Assessment: You will take a simple test to verify your language and technical skills.

- Client Exam: Before joining the actual project, you will take an aptitude test provided by the client.
- Onboarding/Start: Once identity verification (ID and tax information) is complete, you will be officially onboarded. You can then set your own schedule and begin working.
