There is no file within Ecare that is as visible as the district file. It supports the primary process of many of our clients, so everyone has an opinion about it: board members, end users, your own team. That is exactly why this role matters.
We are looking for someone who still knows the practice first-hand, either from district care itself or from an inpatient role with a sharp eye on the district, and who is ready for the next step: no longer executing, but setting the direction yourself and structurally improving what has been causing problems for years.
What will you do?
You will join a team of 6 colleagues, including developers and an architect. Within your own file, you make the decisions: about content, about sequence, and about the balance between what is technically sound and what needs to move forward functionally.
In the first six months you build a clear vision of the future: where should the district file be in two years, and which steps will get us there? After twelve months, this is no longer a vision on paper but visible in the software: end users notice it, and the client journey runs through our system without breaks.
Among other things, you will be involved in:
-
Charting a concrete direction for the district file, based on a vision of where district care needs to go.
-
Connecting the district file with the rest of PUUR., so that client information and work processes eventually work across the entire organisation instead of only within the district.
-
Independently making decisions about content and sequence, including the ongoing trade-off between what is technically sound and what needs to move forward functionally.
-
Spending about half your time thinking along with care organisations: visiting them on location to understand what is happening, and together deciding how the district file can best support them.
-
Working closely with your colleagues within the development team, and with the people who look after comparable files in other parts of PUUR.
-
Making sure your team and the organisation can be proud of what the district file has become.
What makes this role interesting
-
You make the move from execution to product responsibility without letting go of care: 25% of your time you are with clients in practice.
-
You get real decision-making power: within your file, you determine what happens and in what order.
-
Within two years you solve a problem that district care has been carrying for years, not incrementally but structurally.
-
You work in an organisation that is leading in AI adoption and aims to remain the best in the market.
-
You bring your practical knowledge of district care and learn from your team how to translate it into good software.
-
You work in a close-knit team and gradually build your own position and authority within your file.
We believe you will be successful if you have the following qualities:
-
You have proven experience in district care (VVT), as a district nurse, case manager, team leader or in a quality function, and you know better than anyone where things get stuck in practice.
-
You have a clear opinion on how care in the district should develop in the coming years, and you dare to share it.
-
You can distinguish well between what is factually correct and what is mainly a feeling or opinion, even if a colleague, client or board member disagrees.
-
You understand the different interests of care providers, the organisation and the client, and can calmly and argumentatively move between them without losing the overview.
-
You dare to clearly say "no" when necessary, even when it feels uncomfortable. You are not a people pleaser.
-
You are mature in dealing with others: you earn trust first, and from there build the relationship with your team and clients.
-
You are curious about how software development works. Experience with it is a plus but not a requirement, we are happy to teach you.
-
You communicate clearly and enjoy working closely in a small team.
-
You have a good command of the Dutch language.
