Product Designer

4 × 8hr days€3,400 – €5,000/moHybrid · Eersel, Netherlands

As a Product Designer at Nmbrs, you ensure that our software not only works well, but also feels logical and looks polished. With your strong visual eye and knowledge of UX, you translate user needs into clear, intuitive designs. Together with developers, Product Owners and colleagues in marketing and sales, you work on a consistent user experience and visual identity. You also continuously look for ways to make our design process and products smarter, including with AI.

Time to grow. Time to thrive.

We are Nmbrs. We build smart business software that removes unnecessary complexity for small business owners and the professionals who support them. Nmbrs brings together four established product organisations—Payroll, Accounting, Invoicing and Reporting—with teams in the Netherlands, Sweden and Portugal.

We are one brand with a shared ambition, while continuing to work from the expertise and strength of our own organisations. We pool our strengths where that makes sense and keep teams, expertise and decision-making close together.

For this role, you will work at Nmbrs Invoicing in Eersel. You work closely with your direct colleagues at this location and with our colleagues in Portugal, and at the same time you are part of the wider Nmbrs organisation.

Your role

As a Product Designer, you are responsible for designing user-friendly and visually strong interfaces for our invoicing and administration product. You translate UX insights and user feedback into designs that entrepreneurs and accountants can immediately work with.

You work within a multidisciplinary product team with developers, Product Owners and colleagues in Portugal. The team works according to Scrum, in two-week sprints. You join planning sessions, think along about new features and continuously test your designs against real user needs. In addition, you work closely with marketing and sales to safeguard our visual identity across different channels.

Specifically, you will:

  • Design user interfaces for our product, in close collaboration with developers and Product Owners.

  • Translate UX insights and user feedback into clear, intuitive and visually strong designs and actively think along about improvements to the user experience.

  • Safeguard and further develop our brand guidelines and house style, so that Nmbrs is recognisable and consistently presented everywhere.

  • Create visual materials for marketing and sales, such as landing pages, social media content and campaign visuals, and safeguard brand consistency across different channels.

  • Explore how AI tools can make your design workflow smarter and faster, and think along about how AI can earn a valuable place in our products.

Your impact

With your work, you ensure that our software is simple, intuitive and pleasant to use. You combine a strong sense of visual design with insight into what users need, so that new features not only work well technically, but also feel logical and look polished.

For example, when the product team is working on a new feature, you translate user insights and feedback into a design that developers can start on in a focused way. By working closely together during the process and testing your designs against user needs, you help the team make choices that genuinely improve the user experience.

In addition, you contribute to a recognisable and consistent Nmbrs brand. From the interface of our product to a landing page or campaign visual: your work helps ensure that our visual identity is right everywhere. With your curiosity about AI, you also help discover new opportunities to make both our design process and our products smarter.

Your profile

You are an experienced Product Designer with a strong visual eye and a good understanding of user-centred design. You have an eye for colour, typography, composition and detail and know how to translate these into designs that are both functional and visually strong.

  • You have a completed education in IMD, CMD or a graphic design programme and at least 5 years of work experience in product design, UI/UX design or a comparable role.

  • You have demonstrable experience designing user interfaces, for example in Figma or similar tools, and have an affinity with UX principles and user-centred design.

  • You have an excellent eye for colour, typography and composition and a strong sense of visual identity and brand consistency.

  • You are a strong communicator, work independently and switch easily between the product team, marketing and sales, actively seeking collaboration.

  • You have a strong AI mindset: you are curious about AI tools and see opportunities to make your work and our products smarter with them.

When you apply, we would like to receive a portfolio that shows your visual work and design skills to their best advantage.

You do not need to tick every single box. Do you recognise yourself in the role and think you can make an impact? Then we would love to hear from you.
