Postdoctoral Researcher – Disability Employment Policy

Compressed Work WeekOnsite · Syracuse, NY, USA

The 4-day week in United States

About the role

The Burton Blatt Institute (BBI) brings together researchers, evaluators, trainers, and practitioners to address the most pressing challenges facing people with disabilities. Our work moves in two directions: our research and evaluation produce the evidence, and our training, technical assistance, outreach, and consulting put that evidence into practice. This combination allows us to inform policy, shape practices, and build capacity in the communities we serve.

BBI invites applications from highly qualified recent Ph.D. graduates who possess demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in disability policy research. This is a full-time research position, located at Syracuse University campus. The Postdoctoral Scholar will be deeply engaged in BBI’s disability employment-sponsored projects and support data gathering, analysis, writing, and publication. The position will report to BBI’s Director of Research and Research Assistant Professor.

The Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University (BBI) welcomes applications for its Advanced Rehabilitation Research and Training Program on the Future of Employment for People with Disabilities (ARRT FEPD), funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). For more information on the grant and mentors, please review our project page: https://bbi.syr.edu/projects/arrt-fepd/

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by a union, SEIU Local 200 United.
