The Computer Architecture Laboratory at Syracuse University (SU), Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to work on different theoretical, experimental, and computational projects in the general areas of classical and quantum computer architectures. Successful candidates will join Prof. Alex Jones’ research group in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Benefits-eligible staff can request a Compressed Work Schedule — a normal workweek compressed into fewer than five days, e.g. four 10-hour days.

Time off

Benefits-eligible exempt staff receive 20 vacation days from the first July 1 after hire, rising to 25 days at 20 years and 30 days at 30 years; non-exempt staff start at 10 days. The published 2026-27 schedule lists eight University holidays plus bonus holidays clustered around the winter break.
