Why this position exists
Server, storage, backup, and virtualization are the backbone of any IT – and our business is growing: from classic project business for SMEs to managed services and our own data center and cloud platforms, including GPU infrastructure for AI workloads. We are looking for you: someone who doesn't just operate infrastructure, but builds, improves, and takes responsibility for it.
Important: We fill this role according to your level. Whether you want to get started with 1–2 years of experience or have already been responsible for complex environments – we will adapt the tasks, goals, and salary to your level. What is non-negotiable: a genuine passion for technology.
Your role – four focus areas
Implementing infrastructure projects (approx. 50%): You design, implement, and document server, storage, backup, and virtualization solutions for our customers – using technologies such as Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox, Veeam, as well as hardware from Lenovo, Dell, NetApp, or Fujitsu.
Operations & Managed Services (approx. 30%): You further develop managed customer platforms and our own data center environments – monitoring, updates, capacity planning, and 2nd and 3rd-level troubleshooting.
Consulting & Pre-Sales Support (approx. 10%): You design solutions together with our sales team, estimate efforts, and represent the technical side during customer meetings.
New topics (approx. 10%): Hybrid scenarios with Azure, GPU and AI infrastructure, automation of recurring tasks via scripting – you bring the topics, we give you the space.
How we will measure success together after 12 months
- You implement infrastructure projects independently – from conception to documentation
- You have co-managed the migration or new setup of a virtualization cluster
- A manufacturer certification has been passed (e.g., Veeam VMCE, Microsoft AZ-104, or virtualization)
- You have measurably automated or improved at least one operational process
The concrete goals behind this will be agreed upon together – depending on your entry level.
Must Haves
What you bring with you
- Practical experience with Windows Server and at least one virtualization platform (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox) – 1–2 years is enough, more is welcome
- Basic understanding of storage and backup concepts (Veeam experience is a plus)
- Solid networking fundamentals (IP, VLAN, routing basics)
- Clean, traceable way of working – we work in an ISO-27001-certified manner; documentation is not a nice-to-have for us
- Business-fluent German, driver's license class B

- A university degree – vocational training plus practical experience counts just as much for us
- Experience with every manufacturer in our portfolio
- Ten years of professional experience
