To assist with all aspects of maintenance operations at the Golf and Tennis Center. The role of the Grounds Specialist is to assume responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting with golf course general maintenance, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and other duties assigned throughout the facilities.
Experience and training will include but is not limited to:
- Assist in day-to-day maintenance (mowing of all surfaces, course set-up, raking bunkers, Pin locations, etc.)
- General turfgrass management and cultivation on all surfaces.
- Work with Golf Course Superintendent to identify equipment and facility problems.
- Work in close relationship with Grounds Supervisors to ensure efficient and proper operation of the facility and equipment.
- Assist with seasonal course renovations and recovery programs.
- Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and basic preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Support other Golf and Tennis Center activities as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Director, Golf & Tennis Center.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of golf course maintenance and shop.
- Participate in professional development and training events.
