About the position
We are looking for an executive leader to act as Head of Software Engineering, responsible for the strategy, governance, and operation of the business unit's engineering. The position leads an organization of approximately 60 to 70 professionals across Engineering, Development, QA, and SRE, with a strong focus on managing third-party partners.
The challenge is to ensure a scalable, efficient, and indicator-driven engineering operation, supporting the company's technological evolution and working in close collaboration with global Platform, Security, and Artificial Intelligence teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Software Engineering organization, promoting high performance, operational efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage internal teams and third-party partners, including scope definition, performance tracking, feedback, replacements, and contract management.
- Conduct engineering governance, establishing productivity, quality, and delivery indicators, such as deployment metrics, rollback, lead time, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the area's finances, with responsibility for budget, Opex, cloud costs, and continuous optimization initiatives.
- Lead technical discussions with Engineering Leads, supporting decisions on architecture, technological evolution, and platform modernization.
- Coordinate the execution of demands related to vulnerability management, translating backlogs from the Security area into action plans for engineering teams.
- Represent the business unit in global Security, AI, and Platform forums, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives.
- Encourage the adoption of technologies and solutions based on Artificial Intelligence in partnership with business and technology areas.

Technological environment
The position will operate in an environment with diverse technologies, including Node.js, Java, TypeScript, React Native, Flutter, and Swift. More important than experience in a specific language is the ability to lead technical discussions and direct the evolution of engineering.
Qualifications
- Consolidated experience in leading large-scale Software Engineering organizations.
- Experience in managing vendors and software factories.
- Experience in technology financial management, including budget control, Opex, and cloud costs.
- Ability to lead technical discussions on architecture and engineering, without the need for mastery of a specific stack.
- Practical knowledge of agile methodologies, SDLC, cloud development, and engineering governance.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and information security, acting as a coordinator for initiatives with technical teams.
- Advanced English for frequent interaction with global teams and executives.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence sufficient to participate in strategic discussions and support the construction of AI-based solutions.
