About the position
We are looking for an executive leader to act as Head of Software Engineering, responsible for the strategy, governance and operation of engineering for the business unit. The position leads an organization of approximately 60 to 70 professionals across Engineering, Development, QA and SRE, with a strong focus on managing third-party partners.
The challenge is to ensure a scalable, efficient and metrics-driven engineering operation, supporting the company's technological evolution and working in close collaboration with global Platform, Security and Artificial Intelligence teams.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the Software Engineering organization, promoting high performance, operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage internal teams and third-party partners, including scope definition, performance monitoring, feedback, replacements and contract management.
- Lead engineering governance by establishing productivity, quality and delivery indicators, such as deploy, rollback, lead time and operational efficiency metrics.
- Take part in the financial management of the area, with responsibility for budget, Opex, cloud costs and ongoing optimization initiatives.
- Lead technical discussions with Engineering Leads, supporting architecture decisions, technological evolution and platform modernization.
- Coordinate the execution of tasks related to vulnerability management, translating the Security area's backlogs into action plans with engineering teams.
- Represent the business unit in global Security, AI and Platform forums, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives.
- Encourage the adoption of technologies and solutions based on Artificial Intelligence in partnership with business and technology areas.

Technology environment
The position will work in an environment with diverse technologies, including Node.js, Java, TypeScript, React Native, Flutter and Swift. More important than experience in a specific language is the ability to lead technical discussions and drive the evolution of engineering.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading large Software Engineering organizations.
- Experience managing vendors and software factories.
- Experience in technology financial management, including budget control, Opex and cloud costs.
- Ability to lead technical discussions on architecture and engineering, without the need for mastery of a specific stack.
- Practical knowledge of agile methodologies, SDLC, cloud development and engineering governance.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and information security, acting as coordinator of initiatives with technical teams.
- Advanced English for frequent interaction with global teams and executives.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence sufficient to take part in strategic discussions and support the building of AI solutions.
