About the position
We are seeking executive leadership to serve as Head of Software Engineering, responsible for strategy, governance, and operations of engineering within the business unit. The position leads an organization of approximately 60 to 70 professionals across Engineering, Development, QA, and SRE, with strong management of third-party partners.
The challenge is to ensure a scalable, efficient engineering operation driven by metrics, supporting the company's technological evolution and working closely with global Platform, Security, and Artificial Intelligence teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Software Engineering organization, promoting high performance, operational efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage internal teams and third-party partners, including scope definition, performance monitoring, feedback, replacements, and contract management.
- Conduct engineering governance, establishing productivity, quality, and delivery indicators, such as deployment metrics, rollback, lead time, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the area's finances, with responsibility for budget, Opex, cloud costs, and continuous optimization initiatives.
- Lead technical discussions with Engineering Leads, supporting architecture decisions, technological evolution, and platform modernization.
- Coordinate execution of vulnerability management initiatives, translating Security team backlogs into action plans with engineering teams.
- Represent the business unit in global Security, AI, and Platform forums, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives.
- Encourage the adoption of Artificial Intelligence-based technologies and solutions in partnership with business and technology areas.

Technology environment
The position will operate in an environment with diverse technologies, including Node.js, Java, TypeScript, React Native, Flutter, and Swift. More important than experience in a specific language is the ability to lead technical discussions and direct engineering evolution.
Qualifications
- Consolidated experience leading large-scale Software Engineering organizations.
- Experience in vendor and software factory management.
- Experience in technology financial management, including budget control, Opex, and cloud costs.
- Ability to conduct technical discussions on architecture and engineering without requiring mastery of a specific stack.
- Practical knowledge of agile methodologies, SDLC, cloud development, and engineering governance.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and information security, acting as coordinator of initiatives with technical teams.
- Advanced English for frequent interaction with global teams and executives.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence sufficient to participate in strategic discussions and support the development of AI-based solutions.
