Welcome to our team
The Boxmeer site is part of our international Animal Health network and produces and packages veterinary medicines for the global market. In the Bacteriological Production department, we are responsible for all activities required for the production of a high-quality and safe antigen. These antigens are then used to make vaccines that help improve the quality of life for animals all over the world. You will work in a close-knit and dynamic team of approximately 45 colleagues.
About the role
In our production department, we work with all new cultivation techniques available within the pharmaceutical industry. Everything from small-scale cultivation to single-use cultivation techniques on a large scale up to 1500L.
You will work in a fast-growing network where we continuously face new challenges in improving our products and expanding the number of antigens we make.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Contributing to every part of the process, from media preparation to cultivation, from downstream production to processing GMP documentation.
- Registering and following up on deviations from regulations, procedures and/or SOPs, and on malfunctions or deviations in the equipment used.
- Knowledge of all methods, processes, operations and aspects of product preparation.
- You are involved in transfers of existing and new products and optimizations, as well as the implementation of new equipment and methods within the department.
- You create, check and correct SOPs, work instructions and logbooks.
- There are multiple opportunities for self-development. One part of this is training in the use of Lean/Six Sigma. Every employee receives Yellow Belt training. In addition to these trainings, a wide range of other training and personal development is possible.
Your profile
- Completed MBO 3 education (intermediate vocational level) in biotechnology, process technology, biology, process automation or a comparable field. A Vapro B education combined with relevant work experience is also possible.
- Affinity with virology, bacteriology, microbiology, pharmaceutical techniques, the process industry, and willingness to follow training to learn these techniques.
- High awareness of quality and safety.
- A desire to keep learning and developing.
- Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Experience working in cleanrooms and aseptic work is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work periodically shifted schedules (3 weeks day shift followed by 1 week late shift).
