What is Yalo?
Yalo (formerly Yalochat) builds a sales platform and AI sales agents for businesses. Its Spanish-language company page is titled "Plataforma AI-first fundada en 2016" (AI-first platform founded in 2016), and the mission statement on that page reads "Nuestra misión es empoderar a las empresas con una plataforma de ventas inteligente que les permita aprovechar al máximo cada relación y hacer crecer sus ingresos." (our mission is to empower companies with an intelligent sales platform that lets them get the most from every relationship and grow their revenue). The adverts describe the company as "on a mission to revolutionize how businesses sell in an omnichannel way with our intelligent sales platform and intelligent agents powered by cutting-edge AI" and add "Born in Latin America and driven by its spirit of innovation, we’re transforming sales for businesses around the globe." The home page says Yalo connects companies with customers in "LATAM, África y Europa" (Latin America, Africa and Europe) and lists a presence in 40+ countries.
Where will I work?
Wikipedia says "Its headquarters were formerly in San Francisco with offices in Mexico City, Mumbai, Shanghai, Bogotá, and São Paulo." and that the company "subsequently relocated to Mexico City"; its infobox gives Mexico City as the headquarters. Yalo's privacy notice lists four group entities and labels none of them the headquarters: Ayalo, S.A.P.I. de C.V. at "Paseo de la Reforma 265, Colonia Cuauhtémoc, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad de México, México" comes first, followed by Yalochat, Inc. in Newark, Delaware, Yalo LTDA in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, and Yalochat Guatemala, S.A. in Guatemala. The Greenhouse board held 7 adverts on 6 November 2026: five in Mexico City and two in Córdoba, Argentina. The Sr. Staff Data Engineer advert says "Preferably candidates based in Córdoba, Argentina. Also open to Guatemala City, São Paulo, and Mexico City. This is a Hybrid role." and lists "Remote/Hybrid working available (Córdoba preferred; Guatemala City, São Paulo, Mexico City also open)" among its offers, and the Growth Operations Specialist advert lists a "Hybrid work model". Office days per week are not stated. The company page describes a distributed team: a day at Yalo can start with a message from a colleague in Brazil, include a meeting with a manager in Cancún and a check-in with a peer in India, and end with a virtual yoga class with colleagues in Argentina, Colombia and Guatemala.
What is the Yalo team like?
Six adverts describe a start-up with international teams: five list "Start-up environment", "International teamwork" and "You and nothing else limit your career here" as separate items, and the Agentic Success Manager advert says "Start-up environment with international teamwork" and "A place where you — and nothing else — limit your career". The company page calls the team "un equipo curioso, ágil y comprometido con construir relaciones reales que generen impacto" (a curious, agile team committed to building real relationships that generate impact). Three adverts spell the values out as "We care", "We keep it simple", "We make it happen" and "We strive for excellence", and all seven say their core values are "caring, initiative, excellence, and simplicity", while the company page lists a different set headed Love, Own, Venture and Excel. The live roles are in customer success and delivery (an Agentic Success Manager, a Growth Operations Specialist for NOLA and a Technical Project Manager), sales engineering (a Sales Engineer), IT (an IT Helpdesk Support Engineer) and two senior engineering roles in Córdoba (a Sr. Staff Data Engineer and a Staff Software Engineer on the Core Services Platform). The Agentic Success Manager advert says "This is not a traditional CSM role. No ticket queues." and "Bilingual Spanish/English required", and it sets a first-18-months goal of "+45% net revenue growth across your existing portfolio". Salary ranges are not published in any of the seven adverts.
Work-Life Balance
Six of the seven adverts, across five departments (Customer Success, CS & Delivery, Sales Engineering, R&D Technology and Data & Analytics), list the policy in their offer section: five say "Unlimited PTO policy" and the Agentic Success Manager advert says "Unlimited PTO" Three adverts add "Flexible time (driven by results)", and two (Sales Engineer and Technical Project Manager) list "Worklife-Personal Life Integration". The wording is one line per advert: no number of days, public-holiday terms, approval rule or minimum is stated, no core hours or weekly hours are stated, and "Flexible time (driven by results)" does not say whether it means flexible working hours or flexible time off, so it is reported here but not used as the schedule type. The careers section of the company page does not mention the policy, so the evidence is the advert wording. The only advert without an offer section is the Staff Software Engineer role in Córdoba. Glassdoor could not be read, so the work-life reputation is unchecked.
