Woollahra Municipal Council serves Sydney's eastern suburbs — Double Bay, Paddington, Vaucluse, Watsons Bay and the harbourside villages in between. Around 470 people deliver planning, environment, library, governance, legal and open-space services to one of Australia's most established communities.
Where will I work?
Roles are based in Double Bay and at the Alexandria operations facility, with hybrid working (up to two days from home) on many indoor roles.

A full-service metropolitan council: lawyers, planners, governance and compliance officers, librarians and environmental staff alongside parks, arboriculture and fleet teams.
Work-Life Balance
Council job ads state it in the headline: "Excellent work / life balance with a fortnightly RDO" — and the indoor roles are advertised as "Permanent Full-time position - 35 hours per week". Thirty-five hours across nine days per fortnight is a genuinely reduced week, not compressed overtime. Outdoor roles carry the same fortnightly rostered day off on a 38-hour week.
