About WBR Group

Who we are

WBR Group is the UK's largest independent provider of Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) services and a leading independent tax advisor. CEO Tom Moore established the tax advisory practice in 2016, later partnering with SSAS specialist David Santaney. The business has grown into four specialist divisions — WBR SSAS, WBR Tax, WBR Actuarial, and WBR Law — and remains 100% director-owned. The mission, in the company's own words, is "Delivering excellent, tax efficient outcomes for business owners, SMEs, entrepreneurs and families."

What we do

WBR Group provides comprehensive financial services across four interconnected divisions:

  • WBR SSAS — full SSAS administration and pension scheme management for business owners and SMEs
  • WBR Tax — expert tax advisory and planning services led by recognised industry experts including Lucas Harding-Cox
  • WBR Actuarial — actuarial services to support strategic pension and benefit decisions
  • WBR Law — commercial property and company law (created late 2023 following the ISC Lawyers acquisition)

The business has grown through strategic acquisitions: the James Hay SSAS portfolio (2021), the Rowanmoor SSAS operations and Bespoke Corporate Pensions (both 2023), and ISC Lawyers (late 2023). In 2025, WBR Group was voted the UK's Best SSAS Provider by Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts, and holds Defaqto 2026 Expert Rated status with multiple 5-star ratings.

Working at WBR Group — the four-day week

In January 2024, WBR Group introduced a four-day working week following the 100|80|100 model — 100% productivity, 80% of the working week, and 100% pay with no loss of salary or other benefits. According to CEO Tom Moore, the initiative has resulted in "more focused teams, faster client response times and superior work quality" alongside improved employee well-being and work-life balance. Tom presented the trial's lessons at the Wall Street Journal CEO Summit in London in June 2024.

The company operates on the PEER values: Professionalism, Excellence, Empathy, Respect.

Where will I work?

WBR Group operates from six UK offices: Bolton (Deakins Business Park, Egerton — the original Bolton HQ), Leicester (Meridian Business Park), Salisbury (London Road Office Park), Wimbledon (The Courtyard, Francis Grove), London (24 Cornhill), and Bristol (The Quorum, Bond Street). Hybrid and remote working arrangements are available depending on the role. The current SSAS Client Associate vacancy explicitly offers "Hybrid arrangement across any office location."
