About Veramed
What is Veramed?
Veramed is a biometrics contract research organisation working for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors. It provides data management, biostatistics, statistical programming, and evidence and value generation across the clinical development lifecycle, from study design and sample size calculations through to regulatory submissions. In its own words: "We're a CRO that brings the right minds to every project, with experts in every department and expertise in every decision." Its stated mission is "to set the new standard for biometrics", and it works across therapeutic areas with declared focus areas in oncology, respiratory and rare disease. Veramed is a Certified B Corporation, which it frames as "a commitment to integrity and impact in everything we do", and it holds ISO certifications for quality and information security.
Where will I work?
Veramed's UK base is at Regal House, 70 London Road, Twickenham, and it has grown into a genuinely distributed business — offices in Burlington, Massachusetts; Frankfurt am Main; Kharkiv and Kyiv in Ukraine; and Bangalore, India. Roles are advertised with real location choice: current statistician postings state that "we offer flexible working (home, hybrid or office-based), structured training and development, and a competitive package", and open positions span the UK, US, Spain and India.
What is the Veramed team like?
"Ours is a culture where authenticity is championed and expertise is respected. We believe in clarity of purpose, consistency of support, and conviction in doing what's right." Job ads describe "a warm, friendly working environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally" and "supportive, open-door management that actively encourages development". Interest groups run across sustainability, diversity and inclusion, data science and social activities, connecting colleagues across countries. Career paths are unusually explicit: Veramed has mapped four distinct statistician types and five programmer types, each with its own responsibilities and progression route, to help people "pinpoint the environments and challenges that best suit their personality, interests, and professional ambitions". Graduates join a structured training programme with a line manager, a mentor and a buddy from the previous cohort.
Work-Life Balance
Veramed lists "flexible working policies and hybrid opportunities" and "generous annual leave and paid volunteering days" among its benefits, though it does not publish a holiday day count. On its B Corp page the company says it "introduced new mental health initiatives, flexible working arrangements, and professional development opportunities", with employee feedback "actively solicited and acted upon". Statistician and programmer roles are advertised as full-time.
