About Unifrog
What is Unifrog?
Unifrog is "the universal destinations platform": software that helps students aged 4 to 18 explore the worlds of work and education, make the best choices about their next step and submit the strongest applications, whether that's to a university, an apprenticeship or a college, in the UK or abroad. Teachers and counsellors use it to deliver careers education, track progression and draft references, and parents can have their own accounts. More than 4,000 schools in over 110 countries use the platform, and Unifrog partners with universities and employers on events and content that connect students with their opportunities. It grew out of a problem one co-founder saw first-hand after starting The Access Project, a charity that helps disadvantaged students into top universities: students had plenty of data but nothing that helped them navigate it. Unifrog is profit-making but puts "having a positive social impact before anything else", and it is a certified B Corp.
Where will I work?
Mostly wherever suits you. Since it started, Unifrog has had a London HQ in Hoxton "with the majority of the team working remotely, spread around the UK and the world", and it also has offices in Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Paris, Bogotá and Hong Kong, its international HQ. London-based staff work flexibly and spend at least a few days a week in the office (the current Recruitment Lead role asks for a minimum of two), while people based elsewhere are welcome to drop in and join in-person Team Days four times a year. Current openings include a Recruitment Lead and an International Partnerships Lead, who can work remotely in the UK or from the London or Edinburgh office.
What is the Unifrog team like?
"Professional but informal." Everyone sets their own six-month objectives and has an annual training budget, and anyone can volunteer as a "Champion" in an area for extra budget and the chance to train the whole team. Unifrog has a strong record of promoting from within: all of its managers started in junior roles, and its chief executive started as a sales rep. Company meetings three times a year celebrate successes, and salary bands are transparent. Its values are to put positive social impact before anything else, never to stop improving its service and platform, and to value customers and respond to their input.
Work-Life Balance
Full-time staff get 28 days of paid holiday a year plus bank holidays, with extra days after four and seven years, an optional sabbatical at ten years and the flexibility to take leave for religious holidays. The working day runs from 8:30am or 9am to 4:30pm or 5pm, Fridays finish half an hour early, and there are limits on out-of-hours contact. New parents get 20 weeks of maternity pay or six weeks of paternity pay at 100% of normal pay, extra leave in the first 12 weeks back and five days of emergency leave for children under two.
