About Unanet
What is Unanet?
Unanet is the leader in AI-first ERP and growth software for project-based businesses. Its mission, in its own words, is to "unlock productivity for project-based businesses" and "help our customers build a better world by delivering best-in-class solutions and services that enable teams to thrive." Founded in 1998 and based in Dulles, Virginia, Unanet builds purpose-built ERP and CRM platforms for government contractors and architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms — unifying financials, projects and pursuits with built-in automation and compliance. Its product family spans ERP GovCon, ERP AE, CRM for Government Contracting and AEC, ProposalAI, GovIntel and the proprietary "Champ" AI engine, trusted by thousands of project-based organizations.
Where will I work?
Unanet is a remote-first company. As Unanet puts it, "Unanet is a remote-first environment where we value work-life integration, foster a positive and collaborative culture, and provide a supportive environment where you can thrive." Every currently open role is listed as "Anywhere in the United States," so you can work from home wherever you are based in the US. Unanet maintains a headquarters in Dulles, Virginia, but day-to-day work happens remotely, supported by a monthly work-from-home stipend and a one-time home-office equipment allowance.
What is the Unanet team like?
Unanet is built around five clearly stated values: "We are a Team. Employees, customers, and partners working together. We are Customer-Focused. Customers are the heart of everything we do. We are Driven. Seeking exceptional outcomes. We Own our Success. Every employee has a stake in our company. We do the right thing and have fun in the process." That ownership value is literal — every employee is granted equity upon hire. New hires get a structured onboarding (a 12-week plan with a dedicated mentor for client-facing roles), and the company runs Employee Resource Groups as part of its culture.
Work-Life Balance
Work-life balance is central to Unanet's identity as a remote-first employer — recognized by Built In as one of its Best Remote Companies to Work For in 2026. The company explicitly "value[s] work-life integration." It operates an Open PTO policy where "all eligible employees are permitted and expected to take time off at their reasonable discretion," with a recommended minimum of ten days off annually, plus eleven paid holidays. New parents receive six weeks of paid parental leave to bond with a new or adopted child.
Perks and Benefits
Unanet pairs flexible time off with a deep benefits package. It covers "90-100% of the premium" on employee medical coverage (including fertility and gender-affirmation treatment), plus dental and vision. The 401(k) matches "100% of the first 3% contributed by the employee and 50% of the next 2%," immediately vested. Every employee receives equity options on hire and is eligible for discretionary bonuses. Wellbeing support includes a wellness wallet, an EAP, Teladoc and pet insurance. For growth, Unanet offers up to $5,250 per year in tuition assistance, plus a $100/month work-from-home stipend with a home-office equipment allowance.
