What is Toradex?
Toradex is a Swiss embedded-computing company. Its job ads call it "a leader in embedded computing" serving "industrial, medical, automotive & IoT companies", and say its products are "directly sold to more than 3'000 industrial customers in over 70 different countries worldwide". The company's about page, read on 6 November 2026, lists 2003 as the founding year, 230+ employees and 8 global offices, and its footer gives the address Toradex AG, Ebenaustrasse 10, 6048 Horw, Switzerland. Besides computer modules and boards, the Torizon team runs a cloud service: "Torizon Cloud is a platform that delivers over-the-air software updates to embedded Linux devices in the field".
Where will I work?
The about page says the engineers work from "global locations - Switzerland, USA, Brazil and more". On 6 November 2026 the Greenhouse board held 30 ads: 15 in Campinas (Sao Paulo state, Brazil), 3 each in Japan, Namibia, India and Horw (Switzerland), 2 in Canada and 1 in Singapore. The Brazilian roles say "Available to work Hybrid from Toradex Office in Campinas-SP" (some write Campinas/SP), so some office presence is expected. The Swiss field application engineer ad lists "Flexible working hours with hybrid/remote work options", and the Torizon Cloud DevOps ad describes "The team is small, distributed, and motivated!".
What is the Toradex team like?
The careers page sets out five core values; one reads "We work as One Team - built on trust, ownership, and respectful collaboration." The Swiss ad promises "straightforward communication and clear ownership", and the Brazilian hardware ads offer "a flat hierarchy where you may truly shape our hardware and software offerings" in "a global company that has retained its start-up spirit". The DevOps ad expects people to work "without being managed hour to hour". The Brazilian openings are white-collar and technical: AI automation and development, business intelligence and sales operations, hardware engineering, DevOps and product management. The board also holds frontline roles in other countries (assembly, warehouse and customer service), which do not carry the hours wording.
Work-Life Balance
"Flexible working hours" is listed in the offer section of 13 of the 15 Campinas ads on 6 November 2026 (the two internship ads omit it), next to an "Anniversary day off". At the Swiss head office, one of three ads, the Europe field application engineer role, lists "Flexible working hours with hybrid/remote work options" in its benefits block on time off and flexibility, next to "Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave and public holidays". A staff developer quoted on the careers page in June 2021 says "Toradex provides a flexible work environment allowing me to adjust my work hours as needed." No core hours or required overlap window are stated in any of these ads. The other two Swiss ads, a warehouse coordinator and an RMA quality analyst, carry no hours wording, so the policy is stated in the Brazilian template and in one Swiss advert rather than in every region.
