About Teya
What is Teya?
Teya is a payments and business-banking company for small and local businesses. Its careers page says "Born in 2019, we’re a European company with a global presence", and its adverts describe "a financial platform for local businesses across Europe". The company website lists card machines, a business account, funding, a Teya app, Tap to Pay and online payments. The careers page footer names Teya Services Ltd., "registered in England and Wales with the company number 12271069 and the registered address 41 Lothbury, London, United Kingdom, EC2R 7HF".
Where will I work?
The headquarters is in London, and the adverts place roles in the Central London office as well as in Zagreb and Split in Croatia, Porto in Portugal and Riga in Latvia. The careers page says Teyans build relationships "across 15+ offices". The Riga and Porto engineering adverts list a "Hybrid work mode policy", and the London Data Scientist advert says "Hybrid working: 4 days in our Central London office and 1 day from home" and "You choose which day you work from home, and you can change it whenever you need to". Office days differ by role and country, so check each advert for the pattern that applies to it.
What is the Teya team like?
The careers page describes "a fast-paced, energetic, and innovative environment" and lists values including "Simplicity", "Winning mindset", "Proud to serve small, local businesses" and "We are stronger together". It says the whole company comes together every month for an all-hands meeting called "Teya Connect" and shares news every other week through "Teya News". The adverts add "We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail." Teams named in the live adverts include Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Regulatory, People, Credit and Analytics, and country operations teams for Croatia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and the UK. The adverts carry an equal-opportunity statement and invite candidates to ask for reasonable adjustments during recruitment.
Work-Life Balance
The hours policy is stated in the perks list of the adverts: "We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long as it suits both you and your team." The line (some adverts drop the second "as" and read "as long it suits both you and your team") appears in London adverts for Product, Engineering, Legal and Regulatory, Finance, People and Credit and Analytics roles, and in the Riga and Porto engineering adverts; two London Product design adverts say instead "Flexible working hours—we trust you to manage your time". The Croatian Partnership Associate, Business Development Manager and Business Development Representative adverts say "Enjoy flexible working hours that align with team needs". No core hours, required overlap or weekly hours figure is stated. The Croatian Customer Relations Agent advert, a support role, pairs the wording with "Weekday shifts only: no nights, weekends, or holidays", so that role is organised in shifts. Annual leave is "25 days of Annual Leave (plus Bank Holidays)" in the London adverts, 25 days plus bank holidays in the Porto and Riga adverts, and "up to 26 days of vacation" in the Croatian adverts, which also list "3 fully paid days for unexpected health issues".
