What is Tangle Teezer?
Tangle Teezer is a London-based consumer beauty brand best known for inventing the original detangling hairbrush — Shaun Pulfrey's flat-base flexible-bristle design launched in 2007 after he was famously turned down on Dragons' Den. The brush became a salon-then-mainstream phenomenon and is now sold in 75+ markets through direct-to-consumer, retail (Boots, Sephora, Ulta, Selfridges), and professional salon channels. The brand's product portfolio now spans the original detangler, wet/blowdrying brushes, scalp brushes, kids' brushes, and hair accessories.
Acquired by BIC in late 2024 for approximately £200m, Tangle Teezer continues to operate as a distinct brand within BIC's consumer-goods portfolio. The original team and London HQ have been retained; recruitment is now coordinated through BIC's parent careers portal.
