About Statista

What is Statista?

Statista is a business data company headquartered in Hamburg. Its about page describes it as "a global data-as-a-service company with an extensive collection of statistics, reports, and insights on over 80,000 topics from 50,000+ sources in 170 industries", established in Germany in 2007. The adverts say it provides "reliable and easy-to-use data as well as various data analytics products and services", and the imprint states that Statista is "part of the Ströer Group", a German media company listed on the MDAX. The live board mixes data, engineering, product, finance and IT roles with a large sales and client-success group, including a New York Licensing Account Executive role that sells Statista's own award-licensing packages.

Where will I work?

The careers page says "we’re headquartered in Hamburg and have six more offices all over the world": Hamburg, London, New York, Berlin, Singapore, Tokyo and Gurugram, with "76% of all Statista employees" based in the Hamburg office at Johannes-Brahms-Platz 1. Work is hybrid: "Our hybrid model combines three days in one of our modern offices with two days of remote work (depending on location)", and the New York advert asks for "Availability to work from our Financial District office three days a week, with two days working remotely", while four of the five London adverts say "Able to work from our London office, opposite Southwark Station, two days a week". Of the 30 live adverts on 5 November 2026, 15 are in Hamburg, 9 are listed as Hamburg or Berlin, 5 are in London and 1 is in New York. Staff based in Germany can also work abroad: "you can work from abroad within the EU for up to 30 calendar days per year".

What is the Statista team like?

The careers page cites "almost 1,200 employees worldwide", "colleagues from more than 50 nationalities" and says "English is our company language". It names communities such as Women@Statista and a Pride Group, and describes four ways of working: "We create impact", "We act candidly", "We win together" and "We embrace change". The adverts add that Statista has "quickly grown into a global company with offices in major cities such as London, New York, Berlin and Tokyo". Teams visible on the board include a healthcare data platform group, analytics and data engineering, product, finance technology, IT support, project management and licensing sales, and the Engineering Manager advert describes leading "a mixed team of DevOps, software and data engineers with shared ownership, on-call and standards".

Work-Life Balance

"Hybrid work and flex-time" is a standing line in the "What we offer" list of 26 English adverts, across Healthcare, Revenue, Tech, Data, Product, Finance, working-student and licensing roles in Hamburg, Berlin, London and New York. Four German-language adverts carry the German equivalent, so all 30 live adverts state it. The careers page frames its "Flexible Working Model" with "We believe flexibility drives performance" and pairs it with three office days a week, depending on location (the London adverts say two), and, for Germany-based staff, up to 30 calendar days a year of working abroad within the EU. No core-hours window, weekly hours or annual leave allowance is published in the adverts or on the careers page. Two caveats appear in Statista's own words: "Some of the benefits listed here apply only to the German entity and to Junior-level roles or above", and "Benefits can vary dependent on location".
