About StackOne
What is StackOne?
StackOne describes itself as "the Tool Gateway for successful AI rollouts". Its About page says it manages the tool layer between AI agents and business applications, with an MCP gateway, managed connectors, tool discovery, authentication, permissions, prompt-injection defense and observability, and it lists 630+ connectors and 43,000+ actions. The company launched in 2023 and was started by Romain Sestier (CEO) and Guillaume Lebedel (CTO), who "have worked together for more than ten years across several SaaS companies". It reports $24M raised, including a $20M Series A, backed by GV and Workday Ventures. The adverts add that StackOne sells to AI-native startups building agents, to enterprise teams embedding AI into existing products, and to SaaS platforms that embed StackOne for their own customers.
Where will I work?
StackOne says it is "Headquartered in London and San Francisco". The three London adverts (Account Executive, Senior Platform Engineer and Security Engineer) describe a hybrid arrangement with "2 days minimum in our London office (come in more if you prefer!)". The Account Executive advert adds that you would work "from our London office (min 2 days a week) alongside our CTO and the product and engineering team", while partnering asynchronously with a US-based CEO and founding go-to-market team. The London benefits include a "£15/day lunch budget when working from our London office, up to £180/month". The two San Francisco adverts (Sales Development Representative and Founding Account Executive) are different: they say "Remote-first, with regular in-person time in the Bay Area".
What is the StackOne team like?
The adverts say you will "Work alongside an experienced team, with backgrounds from Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Coinbase, JP Morgan, and more", and the About page says the team comes from banks, payments and enterprise software companies. LinkedIn's public company page shows 59 people at StackOne, although its size band reads 11-50. The roles read as high-ownership: the Account Executive owns the UK-EU territory "with a high degree of autonomy", and the Senior Platform Engineer and Security Engineer both report directly to the CTO and have broad scope. The adverts ask for a "bias for action", and the company calls itself one of Europe's fastest-growing startups, so expect a fast pace and a small team.
Work-Life Balance
All three London adverts list this benefit: "Flexible hours and hybrid working — some flexibility in start and finish times, with 2 days minimum in our London office (come in more if you prefer!)". It names both start and finish times, but it says "some flexibility", gives no core hours, and sits in the same line as the office minimum, so read it as modest flexitime alongside hybrid working rather than a fully self-set schedule. The Senior Platform Engineer and Security Engineer adverts also say "We’re open to discussing flexible arrangements – please share any preferences in your application." The platform role includes incident response, with the advert noting the system should be easy to operate "when something breaks at 3am". The San Francisco adverts do not carry the flexible-hours wording.
