About Springboard
Who is Springboard?
Springboard, founded in 2013 by Gautam Tambay (CEO) and Parul Gupta, is an online learning platform delivering mentor-led bootcamps to working professionals making career transitions into tech and allied healthcare. The company operates as SlideRule Labs, Inc. through its assumed-name registrations with the Utah Department of Commerce, doing business as Springboard and Springboard Health. Bootcamps cover AI & Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, UI/UX Design, and Medical Assistant tracks. Springboard is a Series B startup backed by Allen Blue (LinkedIn co-founder), John Katzman (founder of Princeton Review and 2U), Jyoti Bansal (AppDynamics founder), and Neeraj Arora (ex-WhatsApp).
Where will I work?
Springboard has offices in San Francisco (28 Battery Street) and Bengaluru, India, with the team distributed across these two hubs and 15 nationalities on the team speaking 40+ languages. The company runs a target of 7 annual offsites — recent team retreats include Tucson, Arizona. The company's mentor and career coach community is fully remote: 1,000+ industry-expert mentors work from Netflix, Spotify, Amazon and other leading tech companies, providing one-to-one guidance to Springboard students at their own schedule from anywhere in the world.
What is the Springboard team like?
Springboard maintains a strict mentor admission bar — less than 10% of applicants are accepted, with a minimum 3-4 years industry experience plus rigorous testing for curiosity, resilience, adaptability and likeability. The internal team culture emphasises seven values defined collaboratively in 2016: 'Our mission comes first' (Users > Company > Team > Self), 'We are always learning', 'We are open, honest, and constructive', 'We embrace human-ness, relationships, and fun', 'We strive for excellence', 'We are decisive and execution-oriented', and 'We take ownership'. The company maintains a world-class Net Promoter Score of 75+ from mentors and a 97% mentor retention rate. Leadership includes Andrew Moers (President, Consumer), Nichole Pitzen (VP People & Places), Kara Sasse (CPO), Sudakshmina Mandal (Head of Engineering), and Ryan Fong (CFO). 40% of leadership are women.
Work-Life Balance

For full-time staff, Springboard offers flexible work hours and vacation policy, professional development and learning budgets, world-class medical/dental/vision/wellness benefits, pre-tax savings accounts, ergonomic desk setup, free catered lunches at the SF and Bengaluru offices, and an annual company offsite.
