Founded in 2001, SmartestEnergy was established as an aggregator of independent generation projects and entered the UK supply market in 2008. Since then, we've grown into a truly international energy company, opening offices in the United States and Australia to advance our purpose: driving a smarter transition to a net-zero carbon future on a global scale.

SmartestEnergy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni, a Japanese corporation listed in the Fortune Global 500 (No. 173), providing us with the stability and resources of a major international player while maintaining our innovative, forward-thinking approach.
