About SIXT
What is SIXT?
SIXT is a German mobility company best known for car rental. The legal entity, SIXT SE, gives its address as "Zugspitzstr. 1 82049 Pullach" and its domicile as "Pullach, district of Munich", with Munich commercial register number HRB 206738. Its adverts describe "a globally leading mobility service provider with a revenue of €4.3 billion and around 9,000 employees worldwide", whose platform ONE "combines our products SIXT rent (car rental), SIXT share (car sharing), SIXT ride (taxi, ride, and chauffeur services), and SIXT+ (car subscription)". The careers site says "Founded 1912" and "9000+ EMPLOYEES PRESENT IN 110 COUNTRIES", and Wikipedia lists SIXT SE as a public company traded in Frankfurt as SIX2. The careers site splits its jobs into "At the Branch", "Corporate Functions" and "Tech". This profile covers the office-based corporate and tech adverts; the branch counter roles, which run on shifts, are filtered out.
Where will I work?
The headquarters is in Pullach near Munich: an engineering advert invites you to "join Team Orange in our headquarters in Pullach close to Munich". On 6 November 2026 the office-based adverts we matched on flexible-hours wording were in Germany (29, mostly Munich; 71 more German office adverts word it differently, for example "hybrides Arbeitsmodell mit flexiblen Zeiten", English: hybrid working model with flexible times), Portugal (26, all Lisbon, where the adverts name "Factory Lisboa in Beato and ARTs Lisboa in Parque das Nações"), Spain (20, in Barcelona, Madrid, Alcobendas, Palma, Málaga and other cities), India (7, Bengaluru), Switzerland (2) and Austria (1). The work model differs by hub: "a hybrid working model with two office days per week" in Lisbon, "trabajar desde casa hasta 6 días al mes" in Spain (English: work from home up to 6 days a month), "up to 50% remote work" in Vienna, "bis zu 40 % Homeoffice" in Switzerland (English: up to 40% home office) and "a hybrid work environment" in Bengaluru.
What is the SIXT team like?
SIXT calls its people "Team Orange". The culture page describes "a high-performance culture to deliver premium customer service with above industry standard business results in a very competitive business environment", and the About page says "You get the keys. You own the results." The corporate and tech adverts cover software, machine learning and platform engineering in Munich, Lisbon and Bengaluru, product management, finance and controlling, payroll and recruiting, marketing and CRM, procurement, B2B sales, and fleet, claims and customer-service administration in Spain. The About page also points to a diversity network ("Do you know about our DiverSIXTy network?"). The Culture page headlines "WE ARE ON THE OFFENSE AND WE LOVE TO WIN".
Work-Life Balance
The careers site states it for the two divisions this profile covers: the Corporate Functions page lists "Flexible working hours" with "Your schedule, your rules. With us, you work flexibly and on a trust basis – in the way that best fits your daily life and your tasks.", and the Tech page lists "Flexible working hours" with "We believe in you and your work. That's why we practice the trust-based work time model, in which you decide when your work day starts." The adverts repeat it in the benefit block of each hub. Munich: "Enjoy 30 days of vacation and a hybrid working model with flexible hours." Lisbon: "Benefit from a hybrid working model with two office days per week and flexible working hours." Spain: "Disfruta de horarios de trabajo flexibles con la opción de trabajar desde casa hasta 6 días al mes." (English: enjoy flexible working hours with the option to work from home up to 6 days a month). Bengaluru: "Benefit from a hybrid work environment complemented by flexible working hours." Vienna: "Enjoy up to 50% remote work and flexible working hours, and celebrate your birthday with an extra day off." No core-hours window is stated. Vacation differs by hub: 30 days in the Munich corporate adverts and 28 days in Lisbon, while the Spanish, Bengaluru, Vienna and Swiss adverts do not state a number of days. Glassdoor could not be read, so no work-life balance rating is recorded.
