About Semble
What is Semble?
Semble makes practice-management software for private healthcare: an electronic health record, scheduling, telehealth, billing and patient-experience tools in one platform, for everyone from solo practitioners to enterprise healthcare groups. Its mission is to "Enable healthcare professionals to amplify their impact." Christoph Lippuner and Mikael Landau, "seasoned tech entrepreneurs, new to healthcare", built it after working "side-by-side with doctors and support staff" to learn where existing software fell short; the company was incorporated in 2015 as Heydoc and renamed Semble in 2022. Semble says it supports more than 17,000 healthcare professionals across more than 80 specialities, and that more than 10 million patients, "around 1 in 6 people in the UK", have received care from a clinician using it. Its 1,700 customers include Nuffield Health and Welbeck. In June 2026 it raised a £30 million Series C led by Revaia, with Partech, Mercia Ventures and Octopus Ventures, to expand across the UK and Europe, and TIME named it one of the World's Top HealthTech Companies of 2025.
Where will I work?
Largely where you choose, within your own country. Semble offers "Flexible hybrid work", and staff can "Work from our London or Paris office, anywhere in your base country and with some flexibility across Europe." Several of its UK postings add: "You decide how much or how little you go to the office." Engineering roles "can be fully remote in the UK and EU", within two hours of GMT and with occasional travel to the London or Paris offices, while the Head of Customer Success role is hybrid, with the team in the office twice a week. The seven UK roles open in September 2026 span customer support, customer success, engineering, testing and data. The London office is "right outside Monument — with a roof terrace, weekly activities, loads of natural light, and cute doggies!"
What is the Semble team like?
"We're now a team of over 130 people, representing 25 nationalities, and continuing to grow across the UK and Europe," Semble says, and its headcount has grown by more than half since December 2024. Women make up 40% of the workforce, and the executive team is three women and five men. Rather than values, Semble works to three "cultural drivers": Impact ("We do work that matters"), Collaboration ("We're in it together") and Human Touch ("We deeply care"). In its 2025 team survey, staff gave an average 8.9 out of 10 when asked whether they would recommend Semble as a place to work. The founders started Semble "after a successful startup exit", the company has "rapidly adopted AI internally", and its three-stage hiring process is "designed to be clear, human and respectful of your time."
Work-Life Balance
Every UK posting that lists benefits offers "36 days off: 25 holidays + bank holidays + 3 extra days (birthday and 'feel good' days)", time "that we will expect you to actually take so you can recharge and rest." The careers page makes the same promise: 36 days off, "Including your birthday and two 'feel good' days." Day to day, many roles leave the balance between home and office to you, and Semble backs its people's mental health with private health insurance and "free therapy sessions through Oliva".
