What is Scale AI?
Scale AI is a US-based AI infrastructure company, founded 2016, that provides data, applications, and evaluation services to leading AI labs and enterprises. The company has grown into a $14B+ valuation through its work on large-scale data annotation, model evaluation, and AI deployment. The Human Frontier Collective (HFC) Fellowship and Subject-Matter Expert (SME) network are Scale's 1099 contributor programs for domain experts who help train and evaluate frontier AI models.
Where will I work?
Fully remote. Most contributor roles support workers in the US, UK, EU, and other jurisdictions; eligibility per role is country-specific.
Work-Life Balance
Contributor roles are 1099 independent contractor opportunities. Set your own schedule, with flexible 10–40 hour weeks that fit around your existing commitments. Typical engagements are 6+ months with potential for extension.
