What is Sanofi?

Sanofi is one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, headquartered in Paris, France with major US operations in Bridgewater, NJ and Cambridge, MA. Founded in 1973 (with roots reaching back to 1718 through Aventis), Sanofi has annual revenue of over $45B and is publicly traded on Euronext Paris and NASDAQ (SNY). The company's mission focuses on chasing the miracles of science to improve people's lives.

Sanofi specialises in vaccines (one of the world's largest vaccine producers), immunology (Dupixent — the company's flagship blockbuster), oncology, neurology, rare diseases (especially via Genzyme), diabetes, and consumer healthcare. Sanofi Pasteur is the vaccines division. Sanofi has been transforming itself into a more focused biopharma company since 2019 under CEO Paul Hudson.

Where will I work?

Sanofi's primary US sites are Bridgewater, NJ (commercial HQ), Cambridge MA (R&D HQ), Morristown NJ, and Swiftwater PA (Sanofi Pasteur — vaccines manufacturing). Office-based roles support hybrid arrangements; lab and manufacturing roles are largely on-site. Sanofi has been moving toward a "Play to Win" culture with global flexibility.

Work-Life Balance

Sanofi offers genuinely generous time off in the US: 15 vacation days at hire (3 weeks, increases by 5 days every 5 years up to 30), plus 2 floating holidays, 3 personal days, ~9 standard US holidays, and a 1-week (5-day) winter shutdown (additional to vacation). Sick days and 14 weeks paid parental leave are separate. Total at hire is approximately 34 paid days off per year.

Note: PTO is use-it-or-lose-it (no rollover), except in CA/MT/NE where state law overrides.
