What is RLB?
RLB LLP is a firm of chartered professional accountants and business advisors in Ontario. "At RLB, we're more than accountants. We're trusted advisors committed to helping businesses grow." Its services include accounting and assurance, tax planning, business planning and valuation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, litigation support and dispute resolution, and succession and estate planning. Agriculture, condominiums, construction, not-for-profits and real estate are among the industries it lists. Alongside the accounting practice it runs RLB Wealth for wealth management and RLB People for HR consulting, and it offers IT consulting and workflow automation. The firm is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026.
Where will I work?
In one of RLB's five offices — Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Fergus, Orangeville and Shelburne — either in the office or on a hybrid pattern. "Choose what works for you. In-office, or hybrid," its postings say, and the careers page promises "Flexible working hours" and "Hybrid work from home and office". In September 2026 it was hiring assurance, senior assurance and CE managers, senior accountants, a senior bookkeeper, a receptionist and a staff accountant. Its assurance and CE manager postings pay $85,000 to $125,000.
What is the RLB team like?
"At RLB, People Count." The firm says it invests in hands-on learning through a comprehensive training program. Experienced professionals get at least one week of professional development a year, structured mentoring at every career stage and a dedicated development advisor. Co-op students and new graduates get support toward their CPA practical experience requirements. It recognizes people with "eaRLBie Awards" at its annual Holiday Party & Awards Gala, with annual service awards and with a peer-to-peer recognition program, and it marks April 30th with a "Tax Party". Work-Life Balance
Summer weeks are shorter: "Summer Fridays off in July and August," says the careers page, and its assurance manager postings offer "summer Fridays off" alongside paid overtime and personal days. RLB is candid about busy season: "We recognize the demands of busy season and reward extra effort," with paid or banked overtime where applicable, and postings note that additional hours may be required during peak periods. Every team member gets one week of paid personal time a year for appointments, illness or other commitments. There is also a paid "Passion Day" to pursue a passion or goal and a paid "Philanthropy Day" to give back to a charity of their choice.
