About Riverside Insights

What is Riverside Insights?

Riverside Insights is an assessment publisher for schools and clinicians. Its careers page says "We grow the potential in every student", and lists K-12 assessments (CogAT, Iowa Assessments, DESSA, easyCBM) and clinical ones (Woodcock Johnson V, BDI 3, ImPACT). One posting describes its Potential & Placement vertical: "CogAT and Iowa Assessments are how school districts do that today, together a nearly $50M business already serving 3 million students". Another says the company is building "the world's highest-performing double bottom line business, one where strong business performance and real impact for learners make each other stronger".

Where will I work?

All six postings read on 2026-10-17 are listed as Remote with the United States as the location: a Principal Engineer, a UX/UI Designer and an Assessment Content Product Manager for its Reach platform, a GTM Engineer, a Product Marketing Manager and a Sr. Manager of Partnership Enablement. Each lists "Flexible work arrangements" among its benefits. Travel is for off-site team meetings: "Travel 1-2 times a year for off-site team meetings or conferences" in three postings, occasional in the UX/UI Designer's, about ten trips a year for the Principal Engineer, and "Up to 15% travel for off-site team meetings" for the marketing role.

What is the Riverside Insights team like?

The careers page names four values: "Raise the Bar", "Be a Bright Spot", "Find a Better Way" and "Break through Silos", the second explained as "We lead with optimism and energy, lifting others up and leaving the drama behind." It describes its 90-day onboarding as "purposeful and strategic" and its growth support as "quarterly leadership training, dedicated coaching, an annual offsite for emerging leaders, and tuition reimbursement". The Principal Engineer posting calls the Reach build "a small company mandate inside an established organization". The postings do not state a team size.

Work-Life Balance

The careers page itemises time off as "15 Annual Paid Time Off Days", "11 Named Company Holidays" and "7 Annual Wellness Days": 33 days a year counting the holidays. Every posting says the same total, "33 days of company paid time off", and three of them add that it covers "Summer Fridays" (one also a "Winter Break"). The careers page also lists "Company-wide Monthly Focus Days" and says they exist "to recharge and reset"; the postings that mention them list "Weekly Focus Wednesdays" or "Quarterly Focus Days", so the cadence differs between sources and no page defines what a Focus Day is.

Perks and Benefits

The careers page lists "Medical, Dental and Vision", an "Employer HSA Contribution", "Employer paid Basic Life and Long-Term Disability", a "Health Concierge", a "Premium Calm Subscription", an Employee Assistance Program, "Supplemental Pet Insurance", and a 401(k) with a "50% discretionary match up to 6%". It adds "Tuition Reimbursement", "Referral Bonuses", "Paid Parental Leave", "Foster Care Leave" and "Adoption Assistance". Five of the six postings state a salary range, for example $90,000 to $120,000 USD for the UX/UI Designer and $130,000 to $140,000 USD base plus bonus eligibility for the Sr. Manager of Partnership Enablement.
