Ravelin's careers page says it "is a fraud prevention, payments optimization, and secure growth company based in London". Its about page says it was founded in 2014 and "fuels secure growth for ambitious companies that sell online", helping "340+ merchants" by combining "machine learning, graph networks, behavioral analysis, nuanced consortium data, and expert rules". It adds that "technical teams make up 85% of Ravelin", with Engineering and Data Science its biggest teams, and its timeline records "Ravelin hires its 100th employee" in 2021. The same timeline lists "Acquisition by Worldpay" in 2025, and its press page carries "Worldpay to acquire Ravelin, a leading AI-native fraud prevention platform" dated 04/02/2025, with press releases under the Ravelin name continuing through 2026.
Where will I work?
Its contact page gives the London address as "Floor 4, Bentima House 168 - 172, Old Street, EC1V 9BP". Its careers page lists "Remote-first working" and says "It's up to you whether you come in to the office or work from home – we're happy either way!", and its timeline notes that "Ravelin's US office opens" in 2019. Its board held six postings on 2026-10-14: a Front End Engineer, a Back End Engineer and a Staff Project Manager located "Remote", a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and a Sales Development Representative in London, and a London Machine Learning Engineering Manager tagged on-site.
What is the Ravelin team like?
Its careers page says "we hire and keep people not because they share our opinions, but because they share our values", and lists four values: Integrity, Ambition, Resourcefulness and Thoughtfulness. It says "we ask for – and receive – huge mutual respect at Ravelin" and that its "cultural mission is broadly unchanged since Day 1". Its postings say "We really value work/life balance and we embrace a flat hierarchy structure company-wide". A Data Protection Officer quoted on its careers page says "Despite working remotely, I received a warm welcome from my colleagues". Socials are open to all: "Anyone at Ravelin can organize a social".
Work-Life Balance
Ravelin lists a "Monthly wellbeing and learning day": "Ravelinos take every last Friday of the month off to recharge or learn something new – up to you!", which gives 12 extra days a year. Its annual leave line reads "25 days off a year + 1 per year of service + 1 for cultural reasons – in addition to giving you the last Friday of every month off!", and its postings add the bank holidays to the 25 days. Its postings put it as 25 days + bank holidays + 1 cultural day + the monthly Friday, which makes 46 days in the first year. It also lists "Flexible hours" ("Early risers and late starters are all welcome!"), and its mental health line says "we also book wellbeing days into everyone's calendar each month". Ravelin does not publish a shorter working week: the Friday is a monthly day off, not a four-day week.
