What is Radiant Financial Group?
"Radiant Financial Group is a growing national group, bringing together independent financial planners and employee benefits consultants alongside our proprietary investment platform and discretionary fund management capability." Its three businesses are Radiant Financial Planning, which gives tailored advice to individuals and businesses, Radiant Platform Management, which runs its investment platforms, and Radiant Asset Management, which provides managed investment solutions. The group grows "by acquiring and partnering with like-minded businesses that share our culture and ambition", and by centralising regulatory and operational support it aims to give former business owners and their teams "more time to focus on clients, advisers and growth". Radiant Financial Group took its name in 2020, and its planning arm, Radiant Financial Planning, was named Clarkson Wayman Ball Limited until 2021. It is chaired by Derek Elliot, a former Permira principal and co-founder of Darwin Private Equity, and led by chief executive Simon Cogman-Hellier, who has over 40 years in financial services. The group says it offsets 100% of its carbon footprint through the Carbon Neutral Britain Climate Fund and that "Hybrid working and smart travel have cut our carbon emissions."
Where will I work?
Radiant has 13 offices across the UK. Its head office is on Gresham Street in the City of London, and the others are in Stonehaven, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gateshead, Delph, Doncaster, Birmingham, Market Harborough, Swansea, Barnstaple, Fareham and Eastbourne. Its September 2026 openings show a mix of arrangements: a financial services administrator and an executive support coordinator are hybrid from Birmingham or Market Harborough, and the administrator role comes "with the ability to work from home"; a financial planner in the Midlands needs "only one day in the office"; a training and competence supervisor is remote with regular UK travel; and an integrations training consultant is field-based, helping businesses Radiant acquires settle into its systems. Office hours are 08:45 to 17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:45 to 14:15 on Fridays. All applicants undergo background screening, including police and bankruptcy checks.
What is the Radiant Financial Group team like?
Radiant has about 140 employees and describes "an open, collaborative culture where ideas are welcomed and development encouraged." Its culture "is built around doing the right thing for clients, colleagues and partners", and team life includes team socials, office events and group-wide activities "like staff conferences and fundraising challenges"; in September 2026 a team of Radiant Ramblers walked 26 miles for Macmillan Cancer Support. Development runs through the Radiant Academy, where staff can "put together a personal development plan that includes everything from qualifications and soft skills to on-the-job training and mentoring." Sophie McLoughlin, now director of operations, says she has "received tremendous support from colleagues and managers; from technical and study support to achieve my Diploma in Financial Planning, to guidance and mentoring as a new manager."
Work-Life Balance
Every Radiant posting promises the same time off: 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and a day off for your birthday. With England's eight bank holidays, that is 37 days a year. Every Friday ends early too, at 2:15pm, and the postings that state hours give a 35-hour week. Radiant also offers flexible hybrid working and says it supports its people "both in and out of the workplace", with "generous holiday, sickness and wellbeing packages, carefully curated by our in-house benefits team".
