About Qualtrics

What is Qualtrics?

Qualtrics is the company that created — and still stewards — the Experience Management (XM) category. Its SaaS platform helps organizations measure and improve the four experiences that matter most: customer, employee, product and brand. As the company puts it, "we create software the world's best brands use to deliver exceptional frontline experiences, build high-performing teams, and design products people love," all in service of a simple mission: "to bring humanity, connection, and empathy back to business." Founded in 2002 by Ryan, Jared and Scott Smith "in the family's basement," Qualtrics grew from a survey tool into a global platform now used by "nearly 20,000 organizations worldwide" across every major industry. The work, in the company's words, is about "lowering the world's tolerance for bad experiences."

Where will I work?

Qualtrics is dual-headquartered in Provo, Utah and Seattle, Washington, and operates a global footprint the company describes as "20 Offices. 5 Continents. 1 Purpose." Open roles span North America, Europe (Munich, Paris, Milan, Dublin, London, Kraków), the Middle East (Dubai) and APAC (Tokyo, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore). Qualtrics runs a structured hybrid model: "we all gather in the office three days a week; Mondays and Thursdays, plus one day selected by your organizational leader… For the rest of the week, work where you want, owning the integration of work and life." A handful of specific roles are designated office-exempt (effectively remote), but for most people this is a three-days-in-office hybrid.

What is the Qualtrics team like?

Qualtrics describes itself as "the creators and stewards of the Experience Management category," and the culture reflects that origin: "Building a category takes grit, determination, and a disdain for convention." Teams are "nimble" and "empowered to set aggressive goals and move fast to achieve them," where "strategic risks are encouraged and complex problems are solved together." The company's values go by the acronym TACOS — "Transparent, All-In, Customer Obsessed, One Team, and Scrappy" — with advancement explicitly tied to results: "recognize impact based on performance and results, not politics." Qualtrics is Great Place to Work-Certified (updated April 2026), with 75% of employees saying it is a great place to work.

Work-Life Balance

Qualtrics frames its hybrid model around "the integration of work and life," giving employees autonomy over where they work outside the three in-office days. Time off is generous and clearly defined: US employees get "30 paid days off - 15 Vacation Days + 5 Personal Days + 10 Holiday Closures," with more added after a year of service; international teams have their own structured leave (for example, Kraków offers "20 or 26 annual leave days per annum plus an additional day for each year of service"). Mental-health support and a quarterly wellness stipend round out the picture.

Perks and Benefits

A standout perk is the Qualtrics Experience Program: "$1,800 for an experience of your choosing" — a vacation, a bucket-list item, or a charitable donation. On top of that, Qualtrics provides comprehensive health coverage ("medical… dental, vision, life insurance"), a quarterly "wellness stipend," and "Mental Health Support services." In-office teams enjoy "free lunches every work day, snacks, and drinks," plus quarterly team activities and summer/winter parties. International offices add benefits like private medical cover, commuter assistance and company savings plans (e.g. Poland's Employee Capital Plan).
