About Postman
What is Postman?
Postman is the world's leading API platform. In its own words, it is "used by more than 45 million+ developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500," and exists to help developers "build the api-first world by simplifying each step of the api lifecycle and streamlining collaboration—enabling users to create better APIs, faster."
The platform spans the full API lifecycle — design and specs (Spec Hub), building and collaboration (Workspaces, Mock Servers), testing and validation (API Client, Collection Runner, Monitors), and operating at scale (API Catalog, Insights), with newer AI-native tooling such as Agent Mode and the Postman MCP Server. Postman is privately held, with funding from Battery Ventures, Bond, Coatue, CRV, Insight Partners, and Nexus Venture Partners.
Where will I work?
Postman is headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Boston, New York, Austin, Tokyo, London, and Bangalore — "where Postman was founded." Postman explicitly values in-person collaboration: per its job descriptions, employees "are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of" the San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, New York City, Tokyo, and London hubs, while Bangalore-based employees "currently work in the office three days a week." That makes Postman a hub-anchored, in-office-forward employer rather than a distributed-remote one, with time-zone expectations following each regional hub across North America, the UK, Japan, and India.
What is the Postman team like?
Postman runs a global, hub-centric organisation, with departments across engineering, product, sales and account development (including multilingual roles across European and Asian markets), developer relations, and support. The company frames its culture around "building a long-term company with an inclusive culture where everyone can be the best version of themselves," and reinforces connection through "frequent and fascinating team-building events" and a donation-matching program that lets employees "support the causes [they] care about." Because 45M+ developers and 98% of the Fortune 500 rely on the product, teams work unusually close to a large, active developer community — the same community the platform is built to serve.
Work-Life Balance
Postman offers flexible paid time off — its job descriptions list "flexible PTO" as a core benefit. Wellness is a deliberate focus: the company runs programs that, in its own words, "help you stay in the best of your physical and mental health," alongside a wellness reimbursement that employees can put toward their own wellbeing. The in-office cadence is stated up front (five days a week at most hubs; three in Bangalore), so candidates understand the working pattern before they apply rather than discovering it later.
