What is Pigment?
Pigment is a business planning software company. Its homepage title reads "Agentic AI for enterprise business planning | Pigment", and its newsroom calls it "the AI business planning and performance management platform". The About page says "We founded Pigment in 2019 to improve the way businesses plan, make decisions, and drive growth" and that it is used by "finance, sales and HR teams at companies around the world". On its newsroom page Pigment announced "a $250 million Series E funding round at a $2.3 billion valuation", led by the Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT, and the careers page counts "750" "Pigmenauts" and "40" nationalities.
Where will I work?
The legal notice gives the registered office as "8 rue Sainte-Cécile, 75009 Paris, France", and the careers page lists offices in Paris, London, Toronto, New York, San Francisco and Austin. Its FAQ describes "3 types of working location": office-based roles "benefit from one day of remote working per week", hybrid roles have "up to 8 days per month of remote work", and fully remote employees "are expected to come into the office 2 days per month". The FAQ adds that "each job posting indicates the policy a role falls under", and adverts say things like "hybrid remote policy (3 days in-office per week)" in one Paris advert and "Remote work is not possible for this role" in another. On the day of research the Lever board held 127 adverts, mostly in Paris (39), London (20), New York (10), Toronto (10) and other US locations.
What is the Pigment team like?
The careers page lists five values: "Champion our customers", "Thrive together", "Never settle", "Go for it" and "Be real, be humble". It invites people who love "moving fast, working smart, and solving big challenges as a team in a high-performance environment", and reports "a 91% eNPS score (Annual Engagement Survey - Nov. 2024)". New joiners go through an in-person, cohort-led onboarding programme. The live board is a mix of Sales (24), Professional Services (22), Business (20), Engineering (20), Customer Experience (9), HR (9), Business Development (7), Operations (6) and smaller teams. The hiring process "usually follows a screening call with our lead recruiter, an overview with the hiring manager, cross-functional 1:1s with select stakeholders" and "a case study".
Work-Life Balance
Adverts list "Trust and flexible working hours" as a benefit (37 adverts), and one London advert says "Generous time off and flexible working hours": 38 of the 127 live adverts in all. They cover Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, Customer Experience, Business, Growth, Marketing, Support and Operations roles, in Paris or France (14 of the 48 adverts listing Paris or France), London, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Frankfurt, Zurich, Stockholm and remote roles. No core hours or start and finish times are stated. The wording sits in the adverts, not on the careers page, which instead lists "generous paid time-off and parental leave" without a number of days. Office presence still applies to many roles, as the working-location policy above shows.
