What is Perkbox?
Perkbox describes itself as "the employee experience platform that brings together wellbeing, benefits, and recognition in one place, one app people actually use." Its pitch to employers is "Making every employee feel valued", and its platform covers perks and discounts, wellbeing support and an employee assistance programme, salary sacrifice schemes, and peer-to-peer recognition. The careers site says "More than 7,500 organisations across the UK and Australia, from the NHS to leading private sector businesses, trust us to support nearly 4 million employees every day", and lists 526 co-workers. The company's own mission line is "to help every employee feel valued", and the careers site adds that "we use the platform too", so staff get the same product its customers do.
Where will I work?
Perkbox is "a hybrid team". The benefits page names "hybrid hubs in London & Sheffield", with a Wellness Lounge at the London hub, and the company also has an office in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Of the eight open roles, three (Client Success Manager, Bid Manager, Growth Marketing Operations Manager) are hybrid in London, one of them also in Sheffield. The other five are in Bulgaria: three engineering roles are Fully Remote, the QA Team Lead is "Remote working within Bulgaria only" with the Plovdiv office available for hybrid, and the Support Champion role asks for "a minimum of 2 days per week" in the Plovdiv office. The Bulgaria roles are open only to people living in Bulgaria.
What is the Perkbox team like?
The culture page says "We don't believe in 'culture fit'; we believe in culture contribution", and lists six values: "Unity. Integrity. Individuality. Pride. Listen. Accountability." Volunteer Culture Champions organise events, quizzes and social activities, and "while we're a hybrid team, connection still comes first" through Unity Brews, team socials and quarterly team days. The hiring process in the postings has four stages: an application, a short call with the Talent Acquisition team, a 30-minute video call with the hiring manager and one other team member, and a final interview with a task, with an average process of two to three weeks.
Work-Life Balance
Time off is "28 days annual leave + bank holidays", which for an employee in England is 36 days, plus a birthday day off, a Life Event Day, a Self-Care Day, and the option to buy or sell up to five extra days. The page lists "Inclusive Bank Holidays – swap for ones that matter to you". The page also offers "Work from (almost) anywhere: up to 25 days a year" and a £500 Work from Home setup budget. Family leave is "26 weeks primary / 8 weeks secondary carer leave (full pay)" and "12 weeks enhanced neonatal leave", with pregnancy loss leave and fertility support. Sick pay is enhanced for up to 12 weeks.
