About Nu Quantum
What is Nu Quantum?
Nu Quantum is a quantum technology company spun out of the University of Cambridge's Cavendish Laboratory in 2018. It builds quantum networking infrastructure — the photonic and control hardware needed to link quantum processors together into scalable, distributed quantum computers, a key missing piece on the road to useful quantum computing.
Where will I work?
Roles are based at the company's Cambridge, UK labs and offices, with an additional presence in Los Angeles.
What is the Nu Quantum team like?
A deep-tech team of around 80 physicists, photonics engineers, FPGA designers and systems architects, backed by ~$73M in venture funding including an oversubscribed $60M Series A (December 2025) — the largest early round for a UK quantum company.
