About 1Nebula
What is 1Nebula?
1Nebula is a South African software company. Its adverts describe it as "a next-generation SaaS Technology Business focused on providing businesses with cloud & technology expense management services and tools to accelerate their cloud journey." The flagship product is OneView, which the home page calls "the next-generation technology expense management platform that empowers enterprises with real-time visibility, automated workflows, and cost optimisation at scale". Around OneView the company offers FinOps tooling, a managed service and cloud software development, and the about page says "In the past 5 years, we've completed over 50 app modernisation and cloud-native projects alongside our clients." Its company profile, dated July 2024, says "Established 1997", describes a Microsoft partnership since 2014 and says the company is "Operating in SA, UK, USA & NL". A February 2026 press release carried by ITWeb announced OneView Cloud, a standalone cloud-native FinOps product. The group's privacy policy says "Nebula" or "N48X" covers N48X (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiaries, including One Nebula (Pty) Ltd.
Where will I work?
The website lists 22 Park Lane, Century City, Cape Town, and Emmalaan 7 in Amsterdam as its contact addresses, and the PAIA manual gives the Century City address as the Western Cape office. On 6 November 2026, 13 of the 15 live adverts were for Cape Town and 2 were for Johannesburg (customer success roles marked as Johannesburg based). The careers page lists "Flexible and hybrid working models" among its perks, one advert is titled Business Analyst (Remote), and several adverts mention a relaxed hybrid work environment and a home-office allowance. No number of office days is stated, so ask at interview what the in-office expectation is for your team.
What is the 1Nebula team like?
All 15 adverts say "We hire amazing people from across South Africa, making our diverse group of team members, called N48Xers, a force to be reckoned with." The about page says the teams include "software developers, data analysts, business analysts, product designers, cloud services professionals, telecoms specialists and network engineers", and the careers page describes developers, QA and DevOps specialists working with Scrum and Agile. The careers page lists six teams: software development, marketing and sales, product, corporate support, customer success and outsourcing services. Customer success looks after onboarding, training and day-to-day operational support for OneView clients. The typical interview process listed on the careers page has five steps: a screening via MS Teams, a first-round interview, an assessment, a technical stage and a meeting with the boss.
Work-Life Balance
Eight of the 15 live adverts on 6 November 2026 carry flexible-hours wording, across development, product and corporate support. The sentence reads: "Flexible working hours. We work on a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday where you can make the hours work for you." The finance advert says only "Flexible working hours." No core-hours window and no weekly-hours figure are published, so confirm the expected overlap with your team. Nine of the 15 adverts also offer 20 leave days a year plus an extra mulligan day each quarter once your deliverables are met, which they count as 4 extra leave days a year (a tenth advert states only 20 leave days), and the careers page lists "A day off free from work every quarter". Two software support adverts mention a possible rotational standby roster, and the customer success adverts do not carry the flexible-hours sentence, so check each role's hours before applying.
