About NavVis

What is NavVis?

NavVis describes itself as "a technologically-focused, global leader in reality capture and digital factory solutions". Its adverts say "Prominent manufacturers and laser scanning professionals around the world trust our ground-breaking technology, designed to capture and share the built environment as photorealistic digital twins." The About page says the company was "Founded in 2013" as a startup incubated with support from the Technical University of Munich, and that today it "combines survey-grade mobile reality capture (VLX, MLX, and CLX) with IVION", its software platform. It reports that "More than two billion square meters of industrial plants, construction sites, and buildings are held on IVION". Tech press reported on 7 August 2026 that NavVis raised a EUR 73.7 million Series D round led by The Jordan Company. The live Greenhouse job board lists 30 postings: 26 real roles plus four "Join our Talent Pool" placeholders. The roles are mostly software and embedded-systems engineering, with product, finance, sales, marketing and working-student positions.

Where will I work?

The global headquarters is NavVis GmbH at Blutenburgstr. 18, 80636 Munich, and 23 of the 26 live roles are Munich-based, labelled "Munich Hybrid" or "Munich Onsite" (six carry the Onsite label). The About page lists further offices in New York (Brooklyn), Los Angeles (Culver City), Birmingham in the UK and Shanghai. The three live roles outside Munich are all in sales: an Account Executive covering Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, a Sales Director - Mid Market ("US Remote / Hybrid"), and a Business Development Specialist for the Nordics, ideally "located in Sweden, Norway or Denmark" in "a remote work setup + willingness to travel occasionally to our HQ in Munich". The adverts describe a "hybrid work setup" without a general number of office days, but two hardware-related roles are specific: one "requires at least 3 days of office presence per week" and another is "a hybrid role, with an expectation of three days onsite each week". The careers page says "The internal language at NavVis is English, even though we have many German customers."

What is the NavVis team like?

The adverts say "You'll be part of an open culture that values trust, collaboration, and transparency" and that NavVis has "over 300 people from around 60 nationalities and offices around the globe". On dress code the careers page says "As a startup, you will see people wearing all types of business casual at NavVis (from jeans and hoodies to casual business attire when we meet clients)". It also features employee spotlights, including a Finance Team Lead who "went from a working student to a team lead", and quotes Glassdoor reviews that praise the "working culture". The working-student adverts promise regular 1:1s and retrospectives and "360° developmental feedback aimed at holistic professional development". The hiring process on the careers page has four steps: application review by the People Team, an interview with a recruiter, a "Tech or biz challenge", and interview rounds with your prospective manager and colleagues. The adverts add "a screening call, and up to 3 rounds of interviews".

Work-Life Balance

Nearly every advert carries the same line in its benefits section: "We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid work setup, enabling you to plan your work around your life, and not your life around work!" It appears in 25 of the 30 postings, and the 26th real role (a Munich working-student post) says "We offer flexible working hours, enabling you to plan your work around your life, and not your life around work!" Together that is all 26 real roles, across nine departments on the board (engineering, product, finance, IT, sales, marketing, hardware design and operations), in Munich and in the US and Nordic remote roles; only the four talent-pool placeholders lack it. The careers page lists "Flexible working hours and a hybrid work setup" under its Germany benefits. No core hours, start and finish times or weekly hours are stated. Time off is "30 days of paid time off per year (20 days for student employees)" in Germany, "15 days of vacation and 11 public holidays" in the US and "25 days of paid time off per year" for the Sweden-based Nordics role. German benefits also include "Paid leave to care for sick children" and "Free counseling for childcare/eldercare and mental health challenges".
