What is the Manufacturing Technology Centre?

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is one of the UK's leading research and technology organisations, founded in 2010 as part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. Based at Ansty Park, Coventry, the MTC bridges the gap between academia and industry, helping manufacturers adopt innovative technologies and processes.

The MTC works with world-leading partners including Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Airbus, and BAE Systems. Their state-of-the-art facilities house advanced manufacturing equipment covering everything from robotics and automation to additive manufacturing and digital engineering. The centre plays a critical role in keeping UK manufacturing globally competitive.

The MTC operates from its impressive state-of-the-art facilities at Ansty Business Park, Coventry, Warwickshire. The centre offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of on-site laboratory and workshop time combined with flexible remote working for roles that allow it.

Work-Life Balance

The MTC made a permanent switch to a 4-day work week in September 2022, covering 820+ staff with no reduction in salary. This was one of the largest implementations of a 4-day week in the UK and demonstrated that even complex research and manufacturing environments can successfully adopt reduced working hours.
