What is Luscii?
Luscii builds digital health platforms that "create space for care" — its remote patient monitoring technology supports patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems worldwide and reaches millions through OMRON Connect. Doctors and nurses use the Luscii platform to monitor patients remotely, enabling better care outcomes while reducing the burden on healthcare systems.
Founded in the Netherlands and active in seven European countries, Luscii became part of OMRON Healthcare in April 2024. OMRON described the acquisition as preserving Luscii's "way of working and unique culture," giving Luscii access to the reach and expertise of a major corporation while operating "as an independent cell in corporate." OMRON's founder Kazuma Tateishi captured the spirit: "A company should not look for immediate profits, but should always pursue the development of society."
Where will I work?
Luscii is remote-first across the Netherlands; the registered office is at Nicolaas Beetsstraat 216, 3511HG Utrecht. Job postings make the model explicit: "Work from anywhere in The Netherlands. We stay connected through monthly in-person team days called Assemblii." The team also goes on regular retreats — past trips include skiing in the Alps, staying in a French château, and cycling across Europe.
What is the Luscii team like?
The team is 91 employees with 92% reported employee engagement and 20+ nationalities. Three values shape the work: "Be free and spark energy," "Grow Luscii to Last," and "Show courage for integrity." The organisation runs on Holacracy 5.0 — there are no managers and no titles; everyone owns their role and has decision authority within it. New team members get thorough Holacracy training and most find it natural after a few months. The mostly developer + medical-background team published its own book, GREEN ON, about the experience.
Work-Life Balance
The four-day, 32-hour work week is full-time at Luscii — "(based on 32 hours – that's full-time at Luscii)" is stated verbatim on JDs. Vacation is unlimited (with a 20-day Dutch-law minimum); average uptake is 6–7 weeks per year and overtime is not registered. The remote-first setup is balanced with monthly in-person Assemblii team days and bi-annual retreats. Decision-making is decentralised: "no waiting for approval — make your own decisions in your area of expertise."
