About Kyivstar
What is Kyivstar?
Kyivstar is a Ukrainian telecom operator. Its own about page calls it the "найбільший оператор електронних комунікацій України" (the largest electronic communications operator in Ukraine) and says it served about 22.4 million mobile and more than 1.1 million fixed-line subscribers at the end of June 2025. The same page says Kyivstar is a subsidiary of Kyivstar Group Ltd ("Nasdaq: KYIV; KYIVW"). The same page says the company began its history in Ukraine in 1994 and that the first call on the Kyivstar network was made on 9 December 1997. The company runs mobile and fixed internet services plus Big Data, cloud and cybersecurity products for businesses, and its careers page groups jobs under Kyivstar, Kyivstar.Tech (Digital and IT) and Ukraine Tower Company (Network).
Where will I work?
The head office is in Kyiv, at Degtyarivska Street 53, and the careers page lists "Офіси по всій Україні" (offices across Ukraine). The live adverts we read on 6 November 2026 are mostly in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro and Poltava, and a number of corporate and IT roles carry no city at all. The careers page describes three ways of working: offices, a hybrid format and remote work. It says that around 80% of people now work mostly from home ("нині близько 80% людей працюють переважно з дому") and that employees can work from abroad. The English-language adverts talk about "Remote work with optional office visits" and a "Remote-friendly work format".
What is the Kyivstar team like?
The careers page counts "4000+" employees and an average tenure of 7.5 years, and shows 70+ open vacancies. It describes the company as committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, and runs a veteran reintegration programme called "4.5.0. Нарешті вдома". The English adverts describe a "Friendly, collaborative environment" and a "Supportive, expert-level team environment". The board has two tiers: corporate, product, finance, legal, sales and IT roles on one side, and contact-centre, home-internet installation, driver and warehouse roles on the other, so the flexible-hours benefit should be read for the corporate roles.
Work-Life Balance
Flexible working hours are stated as a benefit across several functions. A finance analytics advert lists "Flexible working hours and a hybrid work format", a product manager advert lists "Flexible working hours", and two business analyst adverts say "Remote work with optional office visits and flexible hours" and "Remote-friendly work format with flexible hours". The careers page offers a "Гнучкий робочий графік, гібридний формат роботи" (a flexible working schedule and hybrid format), and many Ukrainian-language adverts for sales, legal, tax, HR and product roles repeat "Гнучкий графік роботи, гібридний формат". No core-hours window, required overlap or office-day count is stated. Adverts mention "Paid vacation and sick leave" without giving a number of days.
