About Kuali
Who We Are
Kuali builds software solutions designed specifically for higher education. We help our customers — colleges and universities — focus on providing a fantastic education to students by decreasing their administrative costs. Our roots are deep: the Kuali project began in 2004 when a group of universities and colleges came together, supported by the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and a grant from the Mellon Foundation, to form the non-profit Kuali Foundation. In 2014, the Foundation invested in a young company led by Joel Dehlin (an experienced Chief Technology and Product Officer) and Chris Coppola (a long-time community member and CEO of rSmart) — and Kuali, Inc. was born. Today we're a thriving, modern EdTech company headquartered in Lehi, Utah, named to the TIME Magazine World's Top EdTech Companies 2024 list (top 40 of US companies) and voted a "Top Place to Work" for 9 years in a row by the Salt Lake Tribune.

Working at Kuali
We've embraced distributed work for years — it's part of who we are. Many of our employees work remotely across the U.S., from Massachusetts to Seattle, while others collaborate in person at our office locations. Some roles are fully remote; others are based in-office or hybrid depending on team needs. Wherever and however you work, we want you to thrive. Every year we hold a company-wide, in-person retreat that includes a variety of activities for all types of people — although we're primarily remote, we make time for in-person connections, and we're pretty big fans of food and food-related activities around here.
